It started with a letter — August 7, 1985, Eugene Gittelson opened his own store in the Skyway and announced it his way: ‘Because, now, I’m the Boss!’ Back then it was 60% off Italian gold chains and one-carat rings from $699 — and outside the glass, the skyway never stopped moving. The prices changed. The phone number didn’t — 339-5153, then and now. Still family, still Diamonds in the Skyway, still here.”
