Have you ever wondered what on earth 14 karat gold even means? You’re not the only one. ⭐️

Let’s break it down 👇

- 24 karat gold is pure gold with nothing added
- 10 karat means it’s 10 parts gold and the other 14 parts are other metals added such as nickel or copper
- so 14 karat would be 14/24 gold and 10/24 other metals
- Gold is a soft metal so the more gold in a piece of jewelry, the softer it is. Something to keep in mind when buying.
- However, a higher gold content can be good for people with sensitive skin or if you just want a deeper, rich yellow color
