We’ve just discovered that Pinterest is advertising Temu products using our actual ring design and our actual photo, a piece handcrafted for a customer, right here in our workshop back in 2006.
A big corporation selling a mass‑produced knockoffs… and using our image to do it. This is what small makers are up against.
We pour hours into every piece. We work with precious metals that keep climbing rapidly in price. Our hourly rates haven’t gone up in over five years. Every ring, pendant, and custom design is made with meticulous attention to detail, not churned out by the thousand in a factory. And yet we constantly feel the need to justify why a bespoke, handmade piece costs more than a mass‑produced item.
And then this happens.😡
It’s infuriating. It’s blatant infringement. It’s disrespectful to artists, designers, and small businesses everywhere who are just trying to make an honest living. We’re not alone, so many small creators are getting screwed over by these massive companies who think they can take whatever they want.
We’ll be taking steps to report this, but I wanted to share it because people need to understand what’s happening behind the scenes. Supporting small makers isn’t just about buying a product , it’s about valuing the people who actually design, craft, and care.
