Let’s take a moment to pause and appreciate the fact that we survived the Nelson Market today with the CRAZY wind and gusts we had! 🌬️😂

Today was the first time I’ve actually had items fly straight off the table during an epic gust of wind — but thankfully, there was no damage done! 🙌

A huge shoutout to all of the wonderful people who stopped by to say hello, have a chat, and make purchases. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

And how special is this… One of our beautiful Nelson Serpentine toki from today will be making its way over to Japan soon to its new owner! 🇯🇵✨

The stone is highly translucent, revealing an incredible depth of colour and character when the light hits it. From deep, moody greens to those glowing flashes that seem to come alive from within… this is a seriously special piece.

Freshly carved from one beautiful piece of Nelson Pakohe, these two have been created as a pair — One finished with a brown binding 🤎 and the other with black 🖤.

The Niho (tooth) is a powerful form traditionally associated with strength, courage, resilience and protection. Its distinctive shape is inspired by the tooth a shark/whale and represents the qualities needed to face challenges and move forward with determination. 💪🌿

Who doesn’t love the pristine beauty of Rodingite? ✨ Translucent, full of character, and completely unique — Every piece has its own vibe!

These four beauties are fresh off the carving bench and ready to make their debut at the Mapua Makers Market this weekend 👌

✨️ A very special custom order, with an even more special story behind it. ✨

We recently had the pleasure of creating a set of 13 custom pendants for one of our lovely clients, all carved from a stone that belonged to her Grandad. ❤️

Aaron was given full creative licence to design the shapes and styles, creating pieces for the whole family:

🌿 3 Men
🌿 3 Women
🌿 3 Boys
🌿 4 Girls

With 13 individual pieces to create from one existing piece of stone, the challenge was on!

We absolutely love how Aaron made the most of the stone’s existing shape, carefully utilising as much of it as possible while still giving each pendant its own character.

And most importantly… our customer was over the moon with the finished pieces! 🥰

There’s something pretty special about taking a stone with family history and turning it into something that can be carried and treasured by the next generation.
