Introducing the F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain Ruthenium Ref. 01T. An exceptional example from the highly limited Ruthenium series. Produced between 2001 and 2005 and numbered to just 99 pieces, it features a ruthenium-finished dial and ruthenium-coated brass movement, housed in a 40mm platinum case and presented here on a platinum bracelet.

The Ruthenium series bookends F.P. Journe’s brass-movement era, marking the transition to 18k rose gold movements in 2004. A rare and important chapter in the early history of the manufacture.

The F.P.Journe Répétition Souveraine Skeleton, Ref. RM. This openworked version lays the Calibre 1408 fully bare, showing the rose gold bridges, gear trains, and striking hammers that power the minute repeater beneath a skeletonised dial. Blued steel hands sit over Arabic numerals, with a subsidiary seconds register at 7:30 and a power reserve indicator worked into the movement’s architecture, while the hammer and gong assembly for the repeater is visible through the open construction, offering a rare look at a mechanism usually hidden from view.

Case in stainless steel, 40mm, fitted on a black alligator strap. True to the model’s ultra flat construction, the movement itself, in 18K rose gold, stands just 4.5mm thick, among the slimmest minute repeater calibres ever produced.

The F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance Black Label is one of the most exclusive timepieces in modern independent watchmaking, available only to existing F.P. Journe clients through the brand’s boutiques. Housed in a 40 mm platinum case with the signature blackened gold dial, it perfectly balances understated elegance with one of horology’s most fascinating mechanical achievements.

Powered by the manually wound Calibre 1520 in 18 karat rose gold, the movement features twin balances, twin gear trains, and the celebrated resonance phenomenon to deliver exceptional chronometric performance. Rarely seen on the open market, the Chronomètre à Résonance Black Label remains one of the most coveted and technically significant creations from François Paul Journe.

The Rolex Daytona 126506 is instantly recognisable by its signature ice blue dial, a colour reserved exclusively for the platinum models in the Daytona line. The monobloc Cerachrom bezel in brown ceramic houses a tachymetric scale for calculating average speeds, paying tribute to the model’s motorsport heritage.

Powered by the in-house Calibre 4130 with 72 hours of power reserve, this chronograph movement was engineered specifically for the Daytona, reducing the number of components while improving reliability and shock resistance.

The 40mm case is fitted to a platinum Oyster bracelet, offering a substantial wrist presence and exceptional wearing comfort thanks to platinum’s inherent density and smoothness. This reference remains one of the most sought after in the current Rolex catalogue.

The F.P.Journe Chronomètre à Résonance Ref. 04RN is powered by the calibre 1499.2, a manually wound movement crafted entirely in 18 carat rose gold, built around two independent gear trains, balance wheels and escapements. Positioned close together, the two balances synchronise naturally through resonance, stabilising one another and improving chronometric performance without any mechanical link between them.

Running at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a 40 hour power reserve and 36 jewels, the calibre features a reset to zero pusher at 4 o’clock and independent time setting for each display. Discontinued in 2009 after a short production run, the Ref.04RN is regarded by collectors as the last expression of the classic symmetrical Résonance.

The F.P. Journe Chronomètre Bleu is one of the most singular timepieces in independent watchmaking, built around a 39mm case crafted from tantalum, a rare and extraordinarily dense metal prized for its deep grey tone with subtle blue overtones. Tantalum is almost never used in watchmaking, demanding a fusion temperature of over 3,000°C to work with, yet it rewards the effort with exceptional resistance to corrosion and wear alongside full biocompatibility against the skin. The blue chrome dial, redesigned to complement the natural hue of the case, carries cream-coloured hands and large Arabic numerals, a composition that is both effortlessly legible and quietly captivating.

Powering the Chronomètre Bleu is the Calibre 1304, a manually wound movement executed entirely in 18K rose gold, oscillating at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Twin mainspring barrels running in parallel, the hallmark configuration of serious precision watchmaking, deliver a stable power reserve of approximately 56 hours. The freesprung balance, adjusted dynamically in six positions via four opposing inertia weights, reflects F.P. Journe’s uncompromising approach to chronometric accuracy.

The Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A-001. Stainless steel case at 40.8mm, 8.1mm thin, with the brand’s signature rounded octagonal bezel, brushed surfaces, and polished bevelled edges. The charcoal sunburst dial carries the embossed Aquanaut pattern, white gold applied numerals, and luminescent baton hands. Date at 3 o’clock, sapphire crystal caseback, screw-down crown, water resistant to 120 metres.

Inside, the automatic Calibre 26-330 S C, beating at 28,800 vph with a 45-hour power reserve, Gyromax balance, Spiromax hairspring, and a 21k gold central rotor, all certified to the Patek Philippe Seal. Completed by the iconic black composite tropical strap with the patented fold-over clasp. A reference that consistently trades well above retail, and for good reason.

The Richard Mille RM 67-02 Sébastien Ogier is a study in precision beyond the dial. Built in collaboration with the seven-time World Rally Champion, the case is constructed from Carbon TPT®, layers of parallel carbon filaments stacked at alternating 45° angles, each no thicker than 45 microns, resulting in a watch that weighs just 32 grams. The skeletonised dial exposes Calibre CRMA7, an automatic movement running at 4Hz with a 50-hour power reserve, while hand-painted blue accents pay tribute to Ogier’s French national colours.

Engineered for those who push limits, the RM 67-02 Ogier sits at the intersection of motorsport and haute horlogerie.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra Thin ref. 15202BC is one of the most compelling expressions of Gerald Genta’s 1972 masterpiece; an 18 carat white gold case and integrated bracelet presenting the iconic octagonal bezel and eight screw motif in cool, luminous relief. At just 8.1mm thin, it wears with the quiet authority of a watch that has nothing to prove. Powering it is the ultra slim Calibre 2121, preserving a direct lineage to the original Series A that started it all.

What sets the 15202BC apart is the interplay of its materials: the cool white gold contrasted against a warm pink gold toned “Petite Tapisserie” dial, a pairing that nods to the beloved salmon dial first seen on the Royal Oak’s 20th anniversary edition of 1992. White gold applied hour markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating complete a dial that reads at once contemporary and deeply archival.
