**Update at 14:45 on Friday, 30th October**

Further to the below appeal, we are trying to locate a black vehicle – possibly a Ford Fiesta, that we believe to be in the area of the Great Orme at the time of the collision.

The vehicle travelled on Mostyn Street into North Parade then headed up towards the Great Orme at around 22:26hrs and we are urging the driver of that vehicle to come forward as soon as possible.

An investigation is underway following a fatal road traffic collision in Llandudno last night (Thursday, 29th October).

We received a report at 10:31pm of a collision involving a black motorcycle on Marine Drive, approximately one mile from the Toll House towards the direction of the Great Orme summit.

As a result of the collision, the male motorcyclist, entered the sea below the Great Orme.

A multi-agency response involving ourselves, HM Coastguard and the RNLI was launched.

The casualty was recovered from the water and airlifted by Coastguard helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

Tragically, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced deceased.

His next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.

Sergeant Alun Jones is appealing for witnesses. He said: "Sadly, this is now being investigated as a fatal road traffic collision, and our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this very difficult time.

“We are urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who was travelling or walking along Marine Drive on the evening of Thursday 29 October, to contact us.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was travelling from the Toll House towards the Great Orme summit between 10:00pm and 10:30pm and who may have dashcam footage.

“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could assist with our investigation."

Our observers are specially qualified and experienced bikers, who are handpicked to ensure the delivery of such education is of a uniformly high standard, and this year they've assisted with the delivery of ten workshops 👏🏼

The family of a man who sadly died following a collision on the outskirts of Bala on 15 October have paid tribute to him.

Chris Johnson was 58 years old and from the Rhyl area.

He has been described by his family as an amazing, funny, caring family man who will be deeply missed by all.

They said: “Chris loved nothing more than to be out with his friends on his motorbike travelling the beautiful roads of North Wales, or spending time in the gym.

“He was always committed to supporting anyone including his family, friends and colleagues in their times of need.

“Chris was a husband, father, son, grandad, brother, uncle and cousin and the centre of our family. He could make you smile even at the most difficult times and saw the positives in so many things.

“Words cannot express the impact he had on so many. The family have requested privacy at this time to enable them to grieve the loss of Chris.”

We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in St Asaph yesterday, 22 October.

Officers attended the High Street at 10pm following a report of a three-vehicle collision.

Two people were subsequently taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 41-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the collision.

Sergeant Alun Jones, of the Roads Crime Unit, said: “I am aware that several people were in the area at the time and may have filmed the immediate aftermath of the collision.

“I would urge anyone who has footage from yesterday and has not yet spoken to police to contact us. Even footage that may seem insignificant could assist the investigation.”

The Cambrian Rally is back this weekend! 🏁 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We'd like to welcome the rally and everyone coming to the area to enjoy this event on Saturday. It's great to see motorsport bringing visitors to North Wales and supporting local businesses.

We want everyone to enjoy the rally, but safety must come first - both on and off the stages.

Our teams including GoSafe, will be on duty throughout the event and we ask everyone to play their part in keeping the roads safe.

Spectators are reminded to drive responsibly. Don't get caught up in the excitement or try to imitate what you see on the stages.

Public roads are not rally stages. The roads remain in everyday use, and your actions can put other road users, spectators and local communities at risk.

Enjoy the rally, support the event and respect the communities hosting it 💙

Sadly, a man has died following a fatal road traffic collision on the outskirts of Bala, Gwynedd last night (Thursday, 15th October).

At 7:35pm police received a 999-call reporting that a two-vehicle collision had occurred on the A494 in Llanuwchllyn involving a black BMW 240i and a black Mitsubishi L200.

The emergency services attended, however sadly the driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mitsubishi sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital by ambulance.

Detective Sergeant Liam Morris of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses. He said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time, and everyone affected by this devastating incident.

“We are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and are urging anyone who may have information that could assist our investigation to come forward.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the BMW being driven in the period leading up to the collision. If you were travelling along the A494 near Llanuwchllyn last night and witnessed the vehicle, or if you have dashcam footage that may assist our enquiries, please get in touch.

“Even information that may seem insignificant could be important to our investigation.”

The driver of the above vehicle was dealt with today with assistance from colleagues from the Armed Alliance and Priority Crime Team.
Not only was the drivers licence provisional only, he had no insurance and had been wanted on a recall to prison since 2015!
He has just been collected from custody and is on the way to prison.

📱 🚔 Dim ein galwad arferol / Not our usual call...

Yesterday morning we received an alert from Vodafone regarding a mobile phone activation on the A5025 on Anglesey, which appeared it was linked to a serious road traffic collision.

One of the team attended to make sure everything was ok, only to discover a slightly different story...

The phone had been left on the roof of the car, and had fallen off along the way.

Thankfully, there had been no collision and the phone was safely recovered and returned to its owner 👏🏼

A lucky escape for the phone - and a good reminder that it's always worth checking the roof before setting off 😊
