The best part of my job is being a part of stories like this!

Fin got in touch with a brief: an engagement ring inspired by nature, echoing twigs and leaves. Nothing too flashy, but something substantial, unique, meaningful, and true to his fiancée Shauna’s values.

After some research, we chose a peridot. A stone symbolising growth, emotional healing, prosperity, and protection. All qualities that are deeply important to Shauna.

Then came the design stage. This part can be challenging when inspiration is hard to find, but this time I knew exactly where to start: my daily walk through the woods near my home. I’d gather twigs and leaves, balancing them on my finger to visualise how the ring might take shape.

Once I had a design I felt happy with, I sent a sketch to Fin. Keeping you involved in every stage is so important to me when creating something bespoke.

With his approval, I crafted the ring using a traditional sand-casting technique.

This lovely story came full circle in the Ogwen Valley, where Fin proposed.

What I create begins long before the silver and stones. It begins with your trust, continues through conversation and collaboration, and it lives on in your life.

I never imagined 4 years ago I would be writing this post today.

I started making jewellery out of tin and buttons, with very basic equipment, for friends and family while still working as a Social Worker.

Then I had the opportunity to do a silver jewellery making course with at , a refresher, as I hadn’t done any silversmithing since completing my degree in design in my 20’s.

This reignited my passion for designing and making jewellery, and made me question whether I could turn that passion into my full-time job after all those years.

At the time, I didn’t really know what I was doing, but I took the risk and started selling at artisan markets. Every day since has been a new challenge, and I’ve made so many new friends along the way.

I’ve learnt new techniques like sand casting, stone setting, and enamelling, which have helped me expand my range of jewellery. Gradually, my displays have improved, and thanks to and , my photography and online presence have too.

Four years later, I still make tin jewellery, but I’ve updated the presentation for shops and now sell mainly wholesale and at markets.

In the past few years, I’ve also had the privilege of working on a number of bespoke and remodelling commissions. Both challenging and rewarding in equal measure.

It’s been an amazing journey, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the decisions I made four years ago, and to you, the people who make this dream possible. 💖

As you’ll know, every piece I create is handmade from start to finish. My bespoke jewellery takes a little extra time because of its uniqueness and the sentimental value it holds.

When you trust me to make something special, I give it my all.

Despite a super busy summer, I was so happy to make a bespoke blue topaz ring for a 30th birthday in September. The customer and I chatted about how her daughter loved large blue stones, and together we chose a Cushion Cut Sky Blue Topaz.

I sourced the stone from Wards in Hatton Garden, London. Their variety and quality are exceptional. When you believe in me to create something you’ll treasure, it’s important that I use materials from people I trust.

I made a wax cast and used the sand casting technique to create the setting - a tricky process, but I’m so pleased with how it turned out. The ring was gifted while they were away in Croatia.

I love being part of your special moments. Thank you for continuing to trust me - I can’t wait for the next one.
