Summer is officially on the horizon! 🌊☀️ With temperatures rising, we want everyone to stay safe while enjoying the water. Here are 3 quick tips for your next beach day at Port Melbourne: 1️⃣ Always swim between the red and yellow flags. 2️⃣ Check the weather and water conditions before heading out. 3️⃣ Keep an eye on the little ones at all times. We can't wait to see you on the sand! ❤️💛

What's that? A day above 28 degrees in October? Must be summer ☀️

As beach towels, eskies and jet skis start making an appearance, so will police.

Operation Summersafe is back across Victoria's beaches and waterways, with a strong focus on jet ski safety and dangerous behaviour on the water.

Water Police will be targeting speeding, restricted zones, and alcohol and drug use, with increased patrols throughout summer.

You'll also see extra police across popular beach and foreshores, as well as nearby retail precincts, parks, transport hubs, bars and restaurants.

Have your fun. Just don't be the reason everyone else's day gets ruined.
