My Etsy store has been closed for a few weeks now while I wait out the crazy price silver is going for right now. I will need to re price all my designs that are custom made/made to order but I will be listing x8 ready to ship rings and the prices are set from when silver didn’t cost the earth! I’ll be reopening my store in the next couple of weeks ☺️🎉❤️

The finished Ring! Enamel is a tricky medium to work with and I’m only just getting started. I plan to do of lot of experimenting!! 😍🥰🎉

Next up I am creating an art deco inspired enamel ring! I’ll share a time lapse of wet-packing the enamel into the channels and later also a reel of torching the enamel! Fun times ahead ☺️

Bezelling up a gorgeous green sapphire while I also work on a piece that will eventually be enamelled! Working with fine silver metal clay is very similar to pottery work. You need to keep the piece moist so that it doesn’t dry out while you work and you can use tools like brushes and sculpting tools to create shapes etc. When the clay is wet, it can become sticky and this can make it hard to work with. But there are a few tricks! Silicone tools are fantastic to use and you can also apply an oil based product on your hands and tools to ensure the clay doesn’t stick.
