A little clay-covered chapter closes… and a much bigger one begins 🤎🏺
Caro Clay is officially becoming House of Pottery.
What started as a small teaching studio in Wellington has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined, and it felt like the right time for a new name that reflects that growth.
We’ve moved to Stellenbosch and into a beautiful new 160m² studio at Klein Joostenberg Farm , with far more room to create, learn, and gather.
This new space allows us to do so much more:
✨ pottery courses
✨ monthly studio memberships
✨ limited wheel throwing classes
✨ workshops
✨ birthdays
✨ baby showers
✨ team building events
…and a few other exciting things we’re dreaming up.
While our heart remains rooted in hand-building, we’re excited to now offer a few wheel throwing spots too.
Most importantly, this move gives us the space to build what I’ve always wanted House of Pottery to be: a creative home where people can slow down, make with their hands, and connect with others.
And bonus? We’re now far more central for people coming from Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Durbanville.
I can’t wait to welcome you into the new space soon. The shelves are waiting, the clay is ready, and this next chapter feels very special 🤍
