Tourmaline and Opal.

Tourmaline is a semi-precious stone that is found in a wide variety of colours. The word "tourmaline" comes from the Sinhalese word "turmali" as the stone was originally found in Sri Lanka.
Opal, the national gemstone of Australia, is classified as a mineraloid (rather than a mineral) due to its water content of 6-10%. Would you believe, 80% of the world's opal supply is in South Australia.
