Today, Armscor Soc participated in the Oceans Economy Conference & Expo 2026 in Cape Town, where leaders from government, defence, maritime industry and private sectors were engaging on the future of maritime security and strategic economic security.
Through IMT and Dockyard, Armscor showcased capabilities that support maritime research, technology, testing and evaluation, naval sustainment and operational readiness.
As the oceans economy continues to grow, Armscor remains committed to supporting a secure, capable and sustainable maritime future for South Africa and the continent.

Armscor has issued a media statement following the official launch of the Drone Pilot Training Programme, delivered in partnership with Ntsu Aviation Academy.
Launched today in Midrand, the four-month programme will empower 10 selected SMMEs, including women-owned, youth-owned and military veteran-linked enterprises, with accredited drone pilot training, operating licences and drone kits.
Through this Enterprise and Supplier Development initiative, Armscor is supporting emerging businesses to access opportunities in the growing aviation and technology sectors, while advancing inclusive economic participation, skills development and sustainable empowerment.

When disaster strikes, support must become action.

Following the devastating floods in parts of Gqeberha (Eastern Cape), Armscor SOC Ltd and the SA National Defence Force, South African Navy joined forces with community coordinators and local partners to deliver essential relief support to affected families.

Behind every parcel is a family rebuilding, parents protecting their children and communities restoring hope with dignity.

Thank you to every volunteer, coordinator and stakeholder who made this possible. Together, we as Armscor SOC Ltd stand with our communities when they need it most.

Freedom must be defended; not only in principle but in practice.
On this Freedom Day, South Africa marks over thirty years of democratic citizenship under the theme Freedom and the Rule of Law.

The rule of law is not sustained by institutions alone. It lives in the choices we make; to act with integrity, to respect the law and to hold one another accountable. At a national level, it is supported by the systems and capabilities that protect our sovereignty and preserve stability.

Armscor SOC Ltd , our role is to ensure that the South African National Defence Force is equipped to safeguard the nation in order for the conditions for democracy to endure.

But the responsibility does not end there. A resilient democracy depends on all of us.
