ALWAYS REMEMBER

Life has a way of making people forget where they started from. The moment some people get a new opportunity, a better position, more money, or new friends, they suddenly look down on the people and things that helped them get there.

The old shoe may no longer be as attractive as the new one, but without it, you may never have reached the store to buy the new pair.

Never forget the people who stood by you when nobody believed in you. Never forget the family members, friends, mentors, teachers, customers, and supporters who encouraged you when your journey was difficult. Never forget the struggles, sacrifices, and humble beginnings that shaped your character.

Gratitude is a sign of wisdom. A grateful person attracts more blessings, while an ungrateful person often loses the value of what they have.

As you grow, succeed, and move to higher levels in life, carry your humility with you. Celebrate your progress, but never disrespect your process.

Remember: The tree that forgets its roots cannot stand for long.
Don’t forget the old shoe that took you to buy the new shoe. KDG

WATCH IT CLOSELY

Many people believe that calling someone “Sir” automatically makes them respectful and humble. But true humility is not found in titles; it is found in attitude, character, and actions.

A person can say “Sir” every day and still be proud, arrogant, disobedient, and disrespectful. Another person may not use the word often, yet show genuine honor through kindness, obedience, patience, and good manners.

In Yoruba culture, respect goes beyond words. It is seen in how you greet, how you speak, how you listen, and how you treat elders and other people around you. Respect is demonstrated, not merely announced.

The lesson is simple: don’t focus only on sounding respectful; focus on being respectful. True humility is not what comes out of your mouth but what lives in your heart.

May we learn to honor people sincerely and not just perform respect for appearances.KDG

STOP INSECURITY IN AFRICA.

This statement is not really about snakes. It is about the dangers of ignoring small problems until they become major threats.

Many of the challenges we face today started as little signs that were overlooked. Crime, violence, corruption, drug abuse, and insecurity rarely appear overnight. They often begin as small issues that people ignore, tolerate, or refuse to address.

Life teaches us that prevention is always cheaper than cure. A small crack in a wall can bring down a building if left unattended. A minor disagreement can destroy relationships if not resolved. A small act of lawlessness can grow into a serious security threat if allowed to continue.

As individuals, communities, and nations, we must learn to confront problems while they are still manageable. Silence in the face of danger is not peace; it is often the beginning of a bigger crisis.

The future we desire depends on the actions we take today. Let us be proactive, responsible, and courageous enough to address challenges before they become disasters.

This post also carries a personal life lesson: the problems you refuse to confront today bad habits, toxic relationships, poor decisions, or negative attitudes can grow into much bigger obstacles tomorrow. The best time to deal with a problem is when it is still small. Ignore today, suffer tomorrow. Act today, secure tomorrow. KDG

YOU TALK TOO MUCH

Many people think this statement is about table manners, but the deeper meaning goes far beyond food.

In life, “eating” represents your season of blessings, success, opportunities, growth, and progress. It is that moment when God has opened a door for you, when things are working in your favor, and when you are enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Unfortunately, some people lose valuable opportunities because they talk too much. They announce every plan, reveal every strategy, and share every blessing before it has fully matured. Not everyone celebrating with you is happy for you. Not every listener has good intentions.

There is wisdom in silence. There is power in keeping certain things private until they are accomplished.

A seed grows best under the soil, not on the surface. An unborn baby develops in the womb before being introduced to the world. In the same way, some dreams, projects, relationships, and blessings need protection until they are strong enough to stand.

This does not mean you should never speak. It means you should learn when to speak, what to speak, and who to speak to.

Learn to protect your opportunities.
Stop seeking validation from everyone. Let your results make the announcement. Work quietly and allow success to speak loudly.
When you are “eating,” don’t talk too much. Guard your blessings, stay focused, and keep moving forward. KDG

GREED!!!

Greed is a dangerous thing. It can make people trade what is valuable for something that has little or no value. Imagine selling your head just to get a cap. It sounds foolish, but many people do similar things every day.

Some people sacrifice their integrity for quick money. Some destroy relationships because of selfish gain.
Some betray loyal friends for temporary benefits. Others lose their peace, reputation, and future because they want more than they truly need.

The sad truth is that greed blinds people. It makes them focus on what they can get without considering what they may lose. A cap can be replaced, but a head cannot. In the same way, money can be earned again, but a damaged reputation, broken trust, or lost opportunity may never fully return.

Never exchange your character for profit. Value your integrity more than material things. Be content while still working hard for success. Think about the long-term consequences of your decisions. Protect what is truly important in life your values, relationships, and purpose.

Remember, wisdom is knowing the difference between what is valuable and what is merely attractive. Don’t lose your future because of temporary gain. KDG

DONT IGNORE PEOPLE

Everyone wants to feel appreciated. Everyone wants to be treated with dignity. Respect is a magnet that attracts people, while disrespect pushes them away.

If you constantly belittle, ignore, or take people for granted, don’t be surprised when they begin to distance themselves from you. On the other hand, when you genuinely value people, listen to them, appreciate their efforts, and treat them with kindness, you create an atmosphere people enjoy being around.

Relationships thrive where honor exists. Whether in marriage, friendship, business, leadership, or ministry, people are naturally drawn to those who make them feel respected and valued.

Never underestimate the power of a kind word, a simple thank you, or genuine appreciation. The respect you give often determines the respect you receive.

Honor people. Value people. Appreciate people.
The connections you build today may become the blessings you enjoy tomorrow. KDG
