📢 Publication Alert🌶️! Researchers from Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Sinai Health and CiMUS (Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases) show that can improve the health of your liver, independent of any weight-loss!

The extended benefits (over an above weight-loss) of semaglutide to the liver has long puzzled scientists, but no longer! improved steatosis, fibrosis, and immune remodeling in a mouse fatty liver disease model, which was attributed to semaglutide-coordinated transcriptional and protein-level reversal of the liver disease.

Thank you also to the authors María Jesús González Rellán and Daniel Drucker for taking the time to interview for the popular science article in Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News! https://www.genengnews.com/topics/translational-medicine/glp-1-drug-improves-liver-health-independent-of-weight-loss-mouse-study-finds/

Thank you for trusting from ReSyn Biosciences for your liver tissue sample preparation for analysis by ! https://www.cell.com/cell-metabolism/abstract/S1550-4131(26)00105-1

GLP-1 medicines are used to treat people with type 2 diabetes, obesity, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Here, Gonzalez-Rellan et al. demonstrate that semaglutide activates liver signaling networks orchestrated by GLP-1 receptors in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells, pro...

📢 Publication alert🌶️! Congrats to the team led by the lab of Michael MacCoss, who recently demonstrated the use (with SAX from ReSyn Biosciences) for enrichment of EV's from to study the effects of monoclonal antibody therapy on the fate and function of T-cells in people with type 1 diabetes! https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.64898/2026.03.27.712461v1

The team used MS based proteomics of enriched serum to analyze longitudinal samples from 20 clinical trial participants to elucidate the effects of and on EV's. Analysis confirmed measurements across multiple draw dates >3300 protein groups, of which 46 protein groups had significant abundance changes after mAb treatment!

The authors conclude: "Taken together, this work demonstrates the utility of the Mag-Net method to evaluate the impacts of therapeutic interventions on serum extracellular vesicles."

Thank you Tyler Cooper from Université de Montréal (University of Montreal) for making the workflow more accessible by publishing the method paper in the Bio-protocol journal! Enabling researchers to use Mag-Net for isolating EV's from as little as 2 µl of ascites fluid, and for noting that "Mag-Net offers a reproducible, scalable, and automation ready solution for EV isolation from various biofluids." The published protocol is available online: https://bio-protocol.org/en/bpdetail?id=5639&type=0

The protocol was first described in the preprint by Cooper et al in Sep 2025: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2025.09.24.678291v1

📢 Publication Alert🌶️! Congratulations to Nicole Grinovero, the clinical proteomics laboratory and core facility , and research team at the IRCCS Ospedale Pediatrico Giannina Gaslini for developing a multi-omics workflow (lipidomics and proteomics) from just 10 µL of plasma!

The authors use (developed by the lab of Michael MacCoss with SAX magbeads from ReSyn Biosciences) for the proteomics analysis of EV's in their extremely limited plasma samples from very preterm infants, combined with lipidomics analysis from the very same samples. The approach was used to follow the molecular trajectories of the preterm infants from birth to their term-equivalent age. They note: "Extracting proteins and lipids from the same EV preparation preserves the intrinsic coupling between membrane composition and protein cargo, strengthening cross-layer interpretation", defining the power of multi-omics studies.

The authors suggest: "these findings demonstrate that ultra-low-volume EV multi-omics is not only technically feasible, but capable of resolving structured developmental and injury-related trajectories, providing a scalable framework for longitudinal molecular profiling in neonatal medicine."

love that our products are making a difference in clinical research, and we look forward to the impact this study will have on understanding the disruption of fetal development in very preterm birth.

📢 Publication alerts🌶️! Developed in the lab of Michael MacCoss, using SAX magnetic beads from ReSyn Biosciences, offers a cost-effective method for deep plasma profiling. We are happy to see this workflow becoming clinically relevant, and the momentum it is gaining for identification of new pathways, druggable targets, and quantitive detection of biomarkers from plasma in !

Deanna Plubell and team from the Michael MacCoss lab demonstrate the application of on the for highly multiplex targeted protein assays for clinical application has just been published in MCP! https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1535947626000010

While in a new bioRxiv & medRxiv preprint, identified 6481 proteins from plasma, providing distinct signatures associated with duration of disease and dopaminergic therapy exposure in . Combined with genome-wide overexpression screens, this provides a resource for biomarker discovery and reveals druggable pathways for precision medicine strategies! https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.64898/2026.01.19.699565v1

Congrats to all the teams involved, is proud to play a small part in this groundbreaking research!

📢Publication Alert🌶️! The human cell line phosphoproteome ATLAS has just been released!

The database is a deep empirical resource revealing the kinase activity landscape. Generated by analysing 33 human cell lines the team regroup over 200,000 class I phosphosites. The authors note that this resource is set to accelerate deep and reproducible phosphoproteomics, enable systematic functional mapping of cellular signaling networks, and can empower precision oncology by highlighting actionable kinase targets in diverse cell states.

Congratulations to Claire Koenig, Hayoung Cho, Kristina B. Emdal, Ilaria Piga, Pierre Sabatier, Samuel Lozano Juárez, & Ana Martínez del Val from the lab of Jesper Velgaard Olsen, thank you for making this fantastic resource available!
