Fakt was the result of what seemed to be Mary-Anne’s perpetual (and disappointing) search for the show-stopping, larger-than-life, natural-stone statement ring. Mary-Anne took inspiration from the African desert and its hidden natural quartz stones and crystals, discoveries she made whilst spending much time as a young girl daydreaming amongst the sand dunes of the Namib Desert when holidaying with her grandparents. And so Matter of Fakt is a culmination of Mary-Anne’s whimsical childhood memories, combined with an appreciation of contemporary African adornments.
