Alice at work, in her studio on the West Coast of Cape Town, on a beautiful Black Ore stone pendant, set it in silver, on a silicon rubber thong with silver clasp fittings.

Back ore, which is a by-product of the gold mining industry, contains veins of quartz and crystalised pyrite. A lapidarist can polish it up well to give a gleaming finish.
