Pearls are born through patience. Layer upon layer, they transform irritation into quiet beauty. Perhaps that is why they have always spoken so gently of resilience.

The skull is not a symbol of darkness, but of the quiet truth that love endures beyond what we can hold. It reminds us that every life, no matter how brief, leaves its imprint on those who loved it.

Made entirely by hand, this tiny sculpture holds more than craftsmanship. It carries compassion.

Some stones are admired for their beauty.

Some are treasured for the quiet presence they carry.

Gem Silica Chrysocolla is among the rarest members of the chrysocolla family. Formed over millions of years as silica slowly embraced ancient chrysocolla within copper-rich rock, it is cherished for a blue that feels almost impossible in nature.

Throughout history, chrysocolla has been associated with calm communication, feminine wisdom, and emotional balance. Gem Silica, with its exceptional purity and vibrant colour, is often regarded as an even gentler expression of those qualities—a stone believed to encourage inner peace, heartfelt expression, and trust in life’s unfolding.

Whether one embraces these traditions or simply admires the wonder of geology, there is something quietly reassuring about holding a stone that has journeyed through millions of years before finding its way into your hands.

This one travelled from Arizona to South Africa, becoming part of a birthday gift and a family’s new beginning.

There are moments when I don’t feel I am “performing” sound healing.

I am simply sitting with the land,
listening first,
then allowing the bowls, chimes and stones to answer.

Here, with the mountains behind me and the grass under my feet, the sound feels different — more open, more grounded, more alive.

The stones are beside me, the bowls are breathing with the space, and everything becomes part of one quiet field.

This is the way I love to work:
not forced, not over-explained,
just presence, intention, nature, and sound moving together.

These stones are not just placed there for the photo.

They were with me while I was playing sound.

The white crystal is South African Spirit Quartz — a stone I feel has a very strong, spreading vibration.
The green one is South African Fluorite, collected close to its source, from people who know the land and work with their hands.

I always feel there is something very different about stones that have not been overly processed, overly polished, or made to look “perfect”.
They still carry their own quiet truth.

These pieces came from the earth, from local hands, and then through mine — cleaned, shaped and cared for slowly from rough stone, with respect for the material and the place it came from.

When I play the bowls, I feel the sound picks up what is already there:
the clearing quality of the Spirit Quartz,
the calm and harmony of the Fluorite,
and the intention held in the space.

This is the part of PLAIN SOUL that is hard to explain in a business sentence.

It is sound.
It is stone.
It is care.
It is relationship.

A beautiful visit from someone I still call sister.

She came to choose a few pieces from my studio, and somehow the jewellery looked exactly as it should — not displayed, but lived in.

Some of the pieces she is wearing here have already found their new homes, but the Peruvian Chrysocolla ring is still available.

I love seeing handmade jewellery on real women, in real light, with real warmth.
This is where a piece becomes more than an object.
It becomes part of someone’s presence.

A Peruvian chrysocolla ring, set in sterling silver.

This piece carries a softer green tone — quieter than the vivid blue-green pieces, but with its own beautiful depth and character.

What I love most is the surface: not overly glossy, not sharply polished, but with a gentle velvet-like sheen. It gives the stone a more grounded, natural presence, as if the colour has settled slowly into the mineral itself.

The silver setting brings a subtle ethnic feeling, but in a very wearable way. It feels earthy, composed, and easy to pair with everyday clothing — linen, knitwear, neutral tones, dark colours, or something simple and understated.

The stone was hand-cut and polished from rough material in my South African studio, then set into a sterling silver adjustable ring.

A quiet green piece, full of texture, softness, and natural balance.

There is something immediately luminous about this stone — a vivid blue-green that feels both mineral and alive, like water held inside the earth.

This piece carries a beautiful clarity of colour: bright, clean, and quietly striking, with the kind of presence that does not need to be loud.

The stone was hand-cut and polished from rough material in my South African studio, then set into a sterling silver ring.
A natural gemstone, shaped slowly, with attention to colour, surface, and feeling.

To me, it has the freshness of open sky, the depth of still water, and the groundedness of stone.
