For the final time from this studio!

Come have a a look at what I’m calling ‘The cost of living crisis collection’, in this new work I have mixed copper with silver. The same good design but because of the extortionate price of silver, I have looked at different metals. After visiting Kazakhstan in 2025 and visiting the copper mining town of Zhezqazghan, I found the museum there I chose copper.

The Monumental Straw . A monument to ridding the world of single use plastic, this sculpture includes a useable silver straw, when not in use is part of the piece. If made to scale it would stand approximately 40 meters tall. Just need the commission for the full size piece now! On display next weekend North Yorkshire Open Studios Venue 64

Venue 62 and 64 both Duncan with his photography and my jewellery and sculpture.. this is our first North Yorkshire Open Studios , one weekend done and one weekend left, come visit this coming weekend 8th and 9th we will be here 10 am to 5pm both days, new work by both of us on display, and the results of the wax carving workshop I did have just come back from casting! And details of the next workshop will be revealed soon!

Well better than expected is an understatement! We all had a wonderful time at the first wax carving workshop, and everyone will have a wonderful ring cast in silver and finished for them to treasure forever!
