Our home is located on a rural acreage with plenty of room for flowers and a studio space filled with sunlight. My passion for design has taken on many forms over the years; from newspapers and advertising, to gardens and decorating, photography, furniture refinishing, and multi media art. The design and crafting of jewelry has been by far the most rewarding journey: I live, eat, and dream in techni-colour gemstones! The materials I most enjoy are natural gemstones, fresh water pearls and silver. I work with top quality components and carefully source the materials I use for both durability and aesthetics. As the ocean is within a "stone's throw" of our community, I love adding shells and beach themed charms to my designs. Another theme you will notice is hearts - a nod to the joy that my work brings me. And who can resist the sparkle and shine of glass and crystal beads to ramp-up the "wow factor" in an extra special piece?! Sometimes I incorporate vintage pieces into my designs. Each vintage find is carefully taken apart, cleaned and checked for quality before being restrung into a new piece. There are so many beautiful unloved beads and gemstones floating around out there that I find myself constantly looking for ways to let these lovelies shine in all their glory again!
