This breakfast took me 10 minutes and hit every single thing your gut needs to start the day right!

Most women I talk to skip breakfast or grab something that spikes their blood sugar and crashes their energy by 10am.
This plate does the opposite.

Arugula to wake up your stomach acid and get digestion actually working before you eat. Eggs for clean stable protein that keeps you full and focused. Gluten free bread from a local baker because real bread with real ingredients does not have to be the enemy. Hummus packed with resistant starch to feed your good gut bacteria and keep inflammation low. And tomatoes because lycopene plus olive oil is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory combos you can put on a plate.

No bloating. No crash. No guilt.

Just food that works for your body the way it was always meant to.

This is what healing looks like in the morning.

Save this for your next grocery run and tell me in the comments what your go-to breakfast looks like right now. I want to know.

Bloated, reactive to everything, exhausted by noon… girl, your body isn’t broken. It’s just stuck in a group chat it can’t leave.

Spoiler alert: you’re not falling apart. Your body is just stuck in survival mode and forgot to clock out.

Here’s what nobody tells you about that mystery bloat and the food sensitivities that seem to multiply every year:
When your nervous system is locked in fight-or-flight, your body does something wild. It literally puts digestion on hold. Like, full “we’ll deal with that later” energy.

Blood flow ditches your gut. Digestive enzymes drop. Things slow way down. Your gut lining starts letting things through it shouldn’t. And suddenly you’re reacting to foods you’ve eaten your whole life.

Science calls it chronic sympathetic activation. Your body calls it Tuesday.

The result is a greatest hits collection nobody asked for:
• Bloating that makes you look six months pregnant after a salad
• A growing list of foods your body “can’t handle”
• Digestion that’s either a sprint or a full stop
• An immune system that’s confused and inflamed

Research shows chronic stress tanks your gut’s first line of immune defense and hijacks the gut-brain connection through the vagus nerve.

You cannot out-supplement a body that thinks it’s in danger.
Filling your cup isn’t a spa day luxury. It’s literally biology. A regulated nervous system means better digestion, less inflammation, and a body that can finally heal.

I lost 30 pounds. It took 4 years. And yes, there was an entire bag of Oreos involved.

Four years. Thirty pounds. Approximately one too many bags of Oreos.

And I am not here to pretend my healing journey was some perfectly curated montage of green smoothies and sunrise yoga. It was messy. It was slow. It was sometimes a 10pm Oreo situation followed by a 7am “okay, let’s try again.”

But here is what nobody talks about: when you keep showing up, even imperfectly, something shifts. Not overnight. Not in a 30-day reset. Over time, your body starts talking louder than your cravings. And mine was LOUD.

Bloating. Abdominal pain. Headaches. Lethargy. Bathroom issues. The Oreos were not the vibe. My body had been telling me that for years. I just finally got quiet enough to listen.

I got real functional testing done. Found gut dysbiosis, leaky gut, immune dysfunction. Suddenly I wasn’t guessing anymore. I knew what was actually going on inside, and that changed everything.

Am I perfectly healed? Nope. I still have an autoimmune disease I am actively managing. I am still rebuilding. Still a work in progress. But I feel 80% better than I used to, and that is not nothing.

That is everything.

Healing is not linear. It is not pretty. But it is 100% possible when you stop quitting on yourself.

Even after the Oreos.
Especially after the Oreos.

I don’t want you to see the after without knowing about the before.

Four years ago I was exhausted, inflamed, and honestly didn’t recognize myself anymore.

I wasn’t lazy. I wasn’t dramatic. My body was asking for help and nobody was listening.

What changed everything wasn’t a diet. It wasn’t a cleanse. It was finally getting real answers about what was actually going on inside my body.

Testing. Not guessing.

This took time. And it was so worth it.

If you’re in that season right now where you’re doing all the things and still not feeling like yourself, I see you. I was you.

Comment SUMMER below and I’ll send you my free guide on how I help women finally get real answers and start actually healing. ☀️💛🫶

If you wake up tired, feel puffy and inflamed, and have been told your labs are “normal”… this is for you.

I almost did not share this.

But if my story helps even one woman feel less alone in what she is going through, it is worth it.

For years I smiled through the exhaustion, the inflammation, the autoimmune diagnosis. I felt like a stranger in my own body and I could not find a single doctor who had real answers.

So I found my own.

I went deep into functional medicine. I ran the tests no one had offered me. I healed my gut, changed how I lived, and slowly started feeling like myself again.

At 41 I walked away from a career of 23 years and started over. Today I live by the sea in Mallorca with my partner and my daughter. I run on the beach in the mornings. I feel good in my body.

I never thought this was possible for me.
It is possible for you too.

If you are in the hard part right now, swipe through. I made this for you.

And if this hit home, drop a HOPE in the comments. I read every single one.

Save this for the days you need a reminder that healing is real.

Comment the word hope if you have felt something similar to show you, that you are not alone✨☀️💛

I used to think I was just tired. Turns out my gut was on fire and nobody tested for it.

Nobody tells you that the bloating, the brain fog, the mood swings, the exhaustion… might all be coming from the same place.

Your gut.

And here’s the wild part: 90% of your serotonin is made there. So when your gut is struggling, your WHOLE body feels it.

That beach run just reminded me why I do this work.
Movement is medicine. But so is actually knowing what’s going on inside your body.

Because here’s the truth: most women spend YEARS feeling off and never get real answers. Not because healing isn’t possible, but because nobody ever looked at the root cause.
I did the testing. I found my answers. I built a plan. And it changed everything.

You deserve that too.

💬 Comment “Summer” below and I’ll share exactly how I help women stop guessing and finally get a real picture of what’s going on inside their gut so we can build a plan that actually works.

Your farmers market is literally a pharmacy. And it’s way cuter than CVS. 🌿

Girl, May just dropped the most beautiful medicine cabinet you’ve ever seen and it’s sitting at your local farmers market right now.

Here’s what you’re actually buying when you fill that tote bag:

🌿 Artichoke feeds your good gut bacteria (inulin = prebiotic gold)

🍑 Apricots calm inflammation and protect your skin from the inside out

🫛 Spring Peas give your immune system a serious vitamin C boost

🍓 Strawberries flood your body with antioxidants that fight cellular damage

🫐 Blueberries are brain food AND gut food (anthocyanins are no joke)

🍒 Cherries contain quercetin, a natural antihistamine and anti-inflammatory

🥒 Cucumber keeps your lymph moving and your skin glowing

🍅 Tomatoes are loaded with lycopene, one of the most powerful antioxidants on the planet

🥬 Arugula is sneaky good for detox pathways and bone health

This is not a salad. This is a protocol.

The women I work with are always looking for the magic supplement, the perfect pill, the one thing that will finally move the needle. And sometimes the answer is just… more color on your plate from foods that are actually in season.
Your gut lining, your immune system, your hormones, your energy… they are all talking to your food every single day.

So this weekend, skip the grocery store. Grab a tote, find your local farmers market, and let your food do some of the heavy lifting.

Save this post and take it with you. 🛍️

Girl, I used to think cheese curds and a pitcher of Miller Lite WAS a balanced meal. 🧀🍺

Wisconsin raised me. And bless her heart, she raised me on fried everything, Friday night fish fries, and the very strong belief that drinking was just… a personality.

I wasn’t “unhealthy.” I was cultured. 😂
But real talk? I spent years feeling like garbage and just… accepting it.

The bloating. The migraines (10 a month, not kidding). The fatigue that made me feel like I was wading through cement every single day. The constipation. The 30 extra pounds that would NOT budge no matter what I tried.

I thought I just had bad genes. Bad luck. A bad relationship with waistbands.

Turns out? I had answers waiting for me.

When I finally ran a GI-MAP test, it showed H. Pylori, parasites, gut dysbiosis, leaky gut, a gluten sensitivity, and digestion issues that were quietly running the whole show behind the scenes.

THAT was why my body was holding on. THAT was why I felt the way I did.

Once I had a plan? Everything shifted.
I started cooking whole foods. Moving my body. Actually nourishing myself instead of just surviving on vibes and convenience.

The weight came off. The migraines dropped. The bloating? Pretty much gone.

Not because I white-knuckled a diet. Because I finally stopped guessing and started knowing.

You deserve to know too.

I tried everything to lose weight. Turns out I just needed to stop ignoring my gut.

30 lbs down. Here’s the unsexy truth about how it happened:

Gluten was quietly destroying my gut lining and I had no idea. Once I connected the dots between gluten and my daily bloating and pain, cutting it wasn’t a diet choice. It was a no-brainer.

A GI-MAP test showed me the actual state of my gut microbiome. Spoiler: it was not pretty. But knowing is half the battle. Healing it was a game changer.

I started regulating my nervous system. Chronic stress is an inflammation machine. When I got out of fight or flight, my body stopped treating everyday life like a threat and the inflammation started coming down.

Your symptoms are not random. They’re data.

Eating ‘healthy’ and still bloated? Your salad might be the problem.

Arugula. H**p seeds. Colorful veggies. Looks like the perfect health food, right?

For some women, this bowl is medicine.
For others, it’s a bloat bomb.

And that’s not a willpower problem. That’s a YOU problem in the best way possible.

Your gut has a unique fingerprint. What heals one woman destroys another woman’s digestion. Raw cruciferous veggies, high-fiber greens, even seeds can trigger symptoms when your gut lining is compromised or your microbiome is out of balance.

If you’re eating clean and still feeling terrible, you don’t need to eat less. You need answers.

That’s what testing is for.

Comment TEST below and I’ll send you info on how we figure out exactly what YOUR gut needs.
