Join me tomorrow night at for their annual art auction! I am so honored to have this piece, along with many other extraordinary works on auction to support scholarships for students. These scholarships can be life changing opportunities for so many. Much like the late George Morrison, who was awarded a scholarship in 1938 to attend MCAD.

++ UPDATES ++
I have so many things to say and am never sure how or if I even say them. It's been a lot to navigate after going back to work full time. I miss the long stretches of creative time that I once had and honestly, maybe even took for granted. Now my creative stretches are shorter and I have to be hyper focused if I'm going to make the most of the limited time I have at the bench. It's been an adjustment to say the least.
I have a collection of work I've been chipping away at and am hoping I'll be ready to go live on the website in the next week. One thing I have to face right now is how much the cost of metal has risen. Silver has increased nearly 180% over the last year. Which means I have to reconsider my pricing. It's been a long time coming as I've watched market change and I was honestly avoiding it for some time, but if I'm going to keep creating and be able to purchase materials I have to make this change.
So what does that mean? I'll be raising prices on nearly all one of a kind items that are currently on the website and in my shop. This weekend will be the last chance to purchase at these prices so if you've been eyeing anything, now is your chance. I'll try to keep my smaller, simpler pieces around the same price points but statement items will be increasing.
I'm not sure how this will affect my business, my creative process, or the audience I currently serve. I love silver. It's my favorite material to work with and it's quickly moving into the luxury market. I could go down the rabbit hole of why things are the way they are, and maybe I'll talk more about it later, but for now I just need to share what it means for me moving forward.

My happy place ✨
It's been a heavy week. I spent time cleaning and organizing here the last couple of days as I prep to teach a workshop tomorrow. Doing that has me thinking about what this space means to me and other ways I can share it with my community. I want to get more workshops on the calendar including a few non jewelry options that I have on my mind. I want to invite people into my peaceful workspace to fill their cup back up after carrying the weight of collective grief and anger so many of us are feeling. I want us to join in fellowship with one another reminding ourselves that we are not alone and we are so much better together. I know I need it right now.
