Dustin shows us a beautiful antique Navajo Ketoh. We thank one of our sponsors, Andrea Andyoaklee Lee, for her contribution toward the acquisition of the original western artwork titled "Hot Pursuit" by E.L. Boone (Elmer Boone), oil on canvas, circa 1930, for our museum collection.

We then take a look at Victorian to Edwardian era mourning jewelry and discuss it's history.

Ken & Albert's Origin Story

“Ken Kehoe & Albert Wilson have been in the design shop business since 2005. During COVID Lockdowns, they closed their to-designers-only showroom in the Houston Design Center, and focused on their interior design business. One of their clients owns a place about 6 miles south, near Cater Hill, which is how they found Winnsboro. They fell in love with the city and its townspeople, and decided to purchase the old "Pumpkin Lot” on E Carnegie to build a home some day. When Monica Coffman moved 5C Creations to Main Street last summer, Ken & Albert rented her old space to start Kehoe Wilson Design Shop. They enjoyed being here so much, they moved from Houston full-time in November 2024.”

Trail ride week is here! Yall please watch for horses, wagons and tractors around the county roads, highways and in town! Please pass them with care because animals are unpredictable. Give them room and keep in mind they are choosing to spend their money in our town supporting our local businesses while they are here for the ride and activities! This week- Friday at 4 pm (Oct 17) is the trail ride parade, which will leave from the water tower. Saturday morning is the pancake breakfast, 42 tournament, Pie contest and the trail ride! That night (Oct 18), we have the mule rodeo (huge thanks to the Winnsboro Rodeo Association) and the Barn Dance! Ive also heard the Rodeo Association will be selling some concessions!!! I’ll keep you posted on some turkey legs!! Yummmm
City park is the place to be this weekend! Try to get involved! Come to the parade, play in the tournament, bake a pie or cake, come to the mule rodeo and barn dance! Be a part of ! We would love to see you! *neg coggins required*
