We're back with another Saturday Shop Drop!

We recently got several new designs in from Allison Kaufman (a few Peridot pieces, in anticipation of August) and we're in love with this floral elgance that they have.

And, as we near the end of July, we added four new Ruby pieces to our website. We just thought we'd give you some more options for your July celebrations. 💕

Check out our website to see what's new!

Saturday Shop Drop!

Who else loves shopping a little bit more in the summer? Well, this one's for you!

Here it is, in all it's glory, the Ruby. The birthstone of July has long symbolized passion, strength, and vitality. Ruby jewelry captures the warmth and brilliance of summer, making it a timeless way to celebrate July birthdays and life's most meaningful moments.

Every July born person I know loves the finer thing in life, we resonate with that, as we are celebrating a couple birthday's here in the store this month!

And we just can't forget to mention this gorgeous Vintage Bvlgari ring. It's composed of seperate geometric shapes, inspired by the travertine stone junctions of ancient Roman sidewalks, set on a steel spring giving it the ability shift around a bit. What a beautiful design.

Which one is your favorite piece?

This is where a hand-engraved ring begins.

What starts as a plain 14 karat white gold band is first carefully scribed out, before every scroll is individually cut with a high polished, 90° V graver. Hand engraving can't be rushed or automated. It's a traditional skill that takes years to learn, with every cut made by hand to create a design with depth, character, and individuality that's difficult to replicate any other way.

Whether you're looking for the perfect ring from one of our trusted collections or want to create something completely custom, we're here to help you find or create the piece that's right for you. From the first sketch to the final polish, every project receives the same attention to detail that's been part of our family's work since 1924.

Dear July, thank you for standing for some of our favorite things. Warm weather, beautiful scenes, passion and joy, adventure and an appreciation for this life.

Nothing says July like a Ruby, resonating with regality, wealth and unshakable confidence. Ruby is corondum which is the same as Sapphire, however when they enter the category of red's, they stand on their own and become a whole different force. Much like our July born-loved ones, a special kind of person.

So, on behalf of all of us here at Vintage Jewelers, happy birthday to the July born! We're celebrating with you (and we're buying Rubies). ✨❤️

Before we close out the month of June, we'd like you to meet these new designs, featuring natural Alexandrites—one of the world's rarest and most fascinating gemstones. By day, it can appear green to bluish-green, and under warmer indoor lighting, it often transforms into shades of reddish-purple. It's a real optical phenomenon known as color change, making every glance feel like a surprise.

Paired with a graceful butterfly design, this ring is a beautiful reminder that nature creates the most extraordinary transformations. 🌿🦋

Rare. Elegant. Ever-changing. Just like the moments worth celebrating. ✨

We had the pleasure of crafting a custom ring for a client who envisioned a contemporary yet unique design.

Featuring an elongated hexagonal-cut diamond, complemented by a hidden halo and set in 14-karat gold.

From CAD design to the finished piece, and finally to the lovely bride's hand. ✨

Have you ever seen colored Diamonds?

We just have to share a couple photos of these immaculate naturally colored diamonds that we had the pleasure of observing at JCK.

Diamonds are of course one of the most precious gemstones in the World and according to most recent data Blue Diamonds are the World's most valuable gemstone.

We cherish all gemstones, however colored Diamonds have a special place in our hearts. I mean... look at those pastels.

What causes different colors in Diamonds? We're so glad you asked!

Diamonds get their color from trace elements elements trapped during formation or structural defects in their crystal lattice.

• Such as blue Diamonds occuring as a result of boron impurities, which absorb yellow light.

• Yellow and orange Diamonds are caused by nitrogen impurities absorbing blue light which then produce warm golden tones.

• Pink and red Diamonds are exposed to extreme pressure (more than the traditional high pressure Diamonds are created under) that alters the crystal structure thus reflecting red light.

• Green Diamonds are exposed to natural radition within the earth over millions of years, damaging their internal cystal structure. Specifically, by knocking the carbon atoms out of their posiotions. This structural change creates "vacancies" (missing atoms) known as GR1 centers, which affect how light is absorbed and reflected, causing the stone to appear green.

• Black Diamonds (also known as Carbonados) naturally have a polycrystalline structure, so, instead of being one single crystal, they are composed of millions of tiny interlocking included diamonds fused together. However, when a Diamond's composition is essentially clouds of dark mineral inclusions like graphite, pyrite or hematite (and more), they can be heat treated, resulting in an entirely black Diamond, yet retaining a single crystal structure.
