golden girl is going back to school!!!!! 📚✏️📓✨
welllll…technically, I already did 🤭
this is something I’ve kept a little closer to myself while I have figured out all of the details, but I’m officially back at Williston State College for the first time since 2021!! And saying that feels equally exciting, scary, and truthfully, a little surreal (eeekkk)
the older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve realized how deep of a passion I have for women and their mental and physical health. we all deserve to feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for when it comes to all things health-related, especially after being historically overlooked, misunderstood, and simply not listened to in so many areas of our modern society. and there is still so much we don’t know, so much that isn’t talked about enough, and so much stigma surrounding things like hormones, menstrual health, PCOS, pregnancy, postpartum, mental health, and everything in between. i feel a genuine passion to be in the corner of other women through those things, and hopefully one day this path leads me into labor & delivery/women’s health!
sooo…this time around, my path is nursing 🫶🏻
I also want to say this because I know how quickly things can get misconstrued, golden girl is NOT closing or going anywhere because I’m back in school!! 😂 literally nothing is changing over here. i am still going to be at the store, still running golden girl, still planning all our little events, and doing all the things I love. Now, just with a bit of homework haha
thankfully, my classes for this school year and into the summer are online, so I’m able to work school around the life that i already live
I am, of course, nervous. BUT i’m also excited!!! I definitely feel a little rusty after five years away 😂 But more than anything, I’m really proud of myself for going back and letting myself see where this could lead
so yeah 🥹 that’s my little life update!!! and most of all, i am so grateful to have so many wonderful people in my life who support me and are constantly cheering me on through all of my seasons. It seriously means so much! and even people i have met solely through golden girl who have become some of my closest friends. Isn't that just insane when you really think about it!? And all of YOU!! who support my business (and me), literally since the beginning. It makes me tear up just thinking about it, truly!! you guys are so awesome, and I am so grateful to have each and every one of you in MY corner. women NEED other women in their lives who are there for them, always, who root for them, help them grow, believe in them, and, most of all, help them become the absolute best version of themselves. THAT’S true girlhood.
so here’s to girlhood, new chapters, and always having women (and a husband, in my case 🤭) in your corner who remind you that you can do whatever you set you mind & heart to 💗
