Our mission is simple - we want to be the best full service jewelry store in the world. Currently we're settling for Western New York, but just give us time. Our store is focused on providing exemplary service and the absolute best value for all of your jewelry needs. We'll work hard to gain your trust, and even harder to never lose it. This extends to everything we do, from appraisals, to sales,

to buying your unwanted jewelry at honest market pricing. We don't have a store front, but prefer instead to welcome our customers as guests into our spacious office suite. We don't buy into the notion that buying fine jewelry should be intimidating, and we certainly don't believe that the best prices are on the net or in a big chain. We also don't sell mass produced pieces of jewelry. Our philosophy is that jewelry is an intensely personal thing and each piece is handpicked by owner and Graduate Gemologist Barbara Oliver for quality of the gems and craftsmanship. And when you want to explore your inner artisan, we'll work with you to create a custom piece that is yours and yours alone.

You know we make a lot of folks happy and our diamonds shine bright. This time I'm not sure which sparkles more, Yasmin or her new engagement ring. She and Jason met and married 2 years ago and her dream ring has now been placed on her finger at last! The sweetest couple, Yasmin found herself that guy that just wanted to make her soooooo happy. When we all sat together to choose the stone and start the designing process, Jason, that hopeless romantic, broke it all down in to how many overtime hours he needed to work. This makes it a true "labor of love" right?

Happy Birthday to you Deanna! William and his love of 26 years came in with her original diamond, the sapphire earrings he gave her on their wedding day and the sapphire pendant for their anniversary. What special thing to do for her big day? How about we incorporate all those years of loving each other into a unique (just like Deanna) signature wedding band? You can tell by the smile on her face and the twinkle in his eye, continued happy wife-happy life. They are cooking her bd dinner tonight, filets and creamed spinach, OK William will be cooking and Deanna will just be standing in the kitchen, staring at her hand, fixated, as she should be.

Michelle and Mike needed a little marquise diamond replacement on her wedding band of 30 years and came in on their anniversary to make it whole again. While they were waiting, she of course had to peek in the showcases because just like when in a chocolate shop, you HAVE to look, and maybe a just a little taste... Here we play dress-up and try on, sometimes just for fun. There was that one ring that caught her attention and admiration. Wonderful hubby asked "do you maybe have any diamonds here, just to see?" Oh, indeed we do, and they were presented a number of fine stones to gaze upon.
Of course they chose the biggest and best because Mike is a very smart and after 30 years, what was not on their radar walking in, just like the trip to the candy shop, but instead of a taste, Michelle ended up with an entire new finger-full of Happy Anniversary diamonds. I love this for them soooooo much.

Ok , this week's post is about being grateful. I thank you all for voting us Best Traditional Jeweler in WNY!!!!! Having the honor for the second year in a row not only fills a spot on my wall, but also fills my heart. My amazing staff, Sam, Phillie, Lacey and Dan, more family than associates make everyday here not "work". Thank you to SPREE magazine for putting on a great event to celebrate all the winners in each classification, and to all of you who voted! I looked up to the stars last night and spoke to my parents in my out loud voice and said "Mom, Dad, that wonky-who- would- ever -be- able -to -find- you -location you were worried about seems to have worked out after all". And yes next week I'll post jewelry I promise, thanks for letting me brag just a little today.

Lovely Brenda lost her mom a number of years ago and just wasn't ready to do anything with her original wedding band, her engagement diamond and some old mine cut diamonds from grandmother's wedding ring. Loving simple designs and wanting something to keep everything together in a signature ring that would remind her daily, we kept it classy and a tad sassy. Using mom's wedding band we cut out the center in a soft curved opening and filled the gap with a cascade of sparkly reminders of just how loved she was and is. She was kind enough to model with that look of delight on her pretty face. Thank you Brenda for being a joy to take care of.

Kathy had a dilemma, lots of older pieces that were no longer loved, but had sentimental value. Each piece told a story, something from mom, grandma, original dating gifts from hubs, high school graduation gifts, you know that drawer of stuff....She was getting some flack from mom, "how can you take apart those pieces?", "they have meaning!!!!!". Not sitting in a that box, in the dark, all alone they don't. So here we have all the sapphires and diamonds, gleaned from all the folks and all the memories into one perfect for Kathy signature piece that she can look at remembering what each stone came from and the loved one who treasured it first. Scared to show her mother (and she's almost as old as me LOL), the reaction was "Ohhhhhhhh now I get it". So THERE to all the naysayers!!!!!! If you don't love it the way it is, turn it into something that you do.

My dear friend Randy and total suck-up to Opal (our head of HR) needed a ring redo. Something very masculine and not looking like a wedding band. Picked up today as his very own sparkler for the 4th of July, we brushed the outside and added a knife-edge on the sides of the ring because he's just so sharp. This man with a heart of gold and now ring of the same deserves happiness, and I am glad he did something wonderful for himself, as he always does for everyone else. Shine on Randy. Happy 4th to you all and enjoy the celebrations!

Kudos to Linda for knowing she was photo worthy after a burst into tears (of delight) cry. She came in with her original engagement ring and her mom's diamond. She lost mom 6 years ago and up until now couldn't touch her ring as the emotions were just too powerful to bear. We added another side diamond to match momma's, complimenting her own for a classic 3 stone ring re-do. "Wait!!!! How will I know which one was mom's and which is the new one?" she asked. Not to worry, I promised her I would figure out something. Linda cried upon first glance and then all over again when I showed her the surprise. We set a teeny little diamond inside, underneath that stone so there would never be a doubt when she is talking to her mom in heaven, gazing at all the love on her hand from the 2 most important people in her life. It was a 2 tissue event, so as a jeweler, I would have to say a most spectacular, sparkling moment that I was blessed to share with her. As an empath, I too had some wetness in the eyeball region along side her, and it was worth the messed up mascara, all day long.

Katherine our beautiful bride now, Mrs as of June 15th came in just 5 weeks ago with a dilemma and a frown on her face. Another jeweler she had been working with for months just didn't get her vision. Rather than an engagement ring with 2 different wedding bands, this poor gal was involved in a 3 ring circus sans rings to show just a month before her wedding!!!!!! No, we normally require additional time to craft the perfect piece, let alone pieces. How could we not save the day, and how could I say no to her? Here we have the picture of one very happy woman, not a worry in the world and her dream rings on her hand. Katherine, I'm glad you found us, and just in the nick of time!

Can we get a big AWWWWWWW for Austen? This handsome and oh so charming young man inherited grandma's diamond. He wanted to pay homage to the woman who he adored, with something very special for him as a lifelong reminder. The bezel set diamond takes center stage with the smaller stones from her wedding band for added twinkle, we added a little pattern and brushed finish to the mix for a signature piece for our new favorite fella who is just the warmest, kindest, appreciative human.
