Happy Earth Day! 🌎 I am sharing with you the "Samudra Vasane Devi" — a traditional Hindu morning prayer (shloka) addressed to Mother Earth (Bhumi Devi) to ask for forgiveness for touching her with feet upon waking.

"Samudra-Vasane Devi,
Parvata-Stana-Mandale
Vishnu-Patni Namastubhyam,
Paada-Sparsham Kshamasva Me."

This prayer recognizes Earth as a nurturing goddess clothed by oceans, adorned with mountains, and consort of Vishnu, promoting gratitude and environmental reverence. 

The "Samudra Vasane Devi" prayer serves as a daily reminder of the interconnectedness between humans and nature. It promotes a sense of gratitude towards the Earth for providing shelter, food, and sustenance. ☀️
