M Kirk Designs Glass artist, Metalsmith, & Woodcraft Artist As an artist I find myself drawn to shape, dimension, texture and color.

I find the play of metal against the sparkle of fused glass to be exciting. My studio in the mountains of western North Carolina, M Kirk Designs, is not just a jewelry studio; it is also a glass studio, where I create colorful glass pieces to compliment the hand fabricated metalwork. The gray of the North Carolina winters demands the use of color in my work, and that color comes from the flash of the glass.
