Sometimes small business life looks a little something like this—That’s Jake, making himself right at home on the couch while chatting with someone about the benefits of our salt room. 😂

We’re a small, family-run business, and sometimes that means you’ll find us answering questions, sharing stories, rearranging shelves, or just hanging out with the people who walk through our doors.

We might not always look like a polished, perfectly put-together business, but that’s kind of the point. We want Kodiak Hollow to feel less like a place you’re shopping and more like a place you belong.

Thanks for supporting our little corner of the world and making yourselves at home. Clearly, we do too. 😂

🕸️🖤 👻 Join me this Sunday at 7:30am or 9am for a fun, Halloween-inspired yoga flow! 🕸️🖤 👻

Think spooky instrumentals, dim lighting, and a little something different from our usual practice. Instead of working toward a traditional peak pose, we’re building toward a peak flow… a sequence of movements coordinated with eerie music that will have us ending class with something that feels part yoga, part bewitching dance.

Bring your best Halloween spirit, a willingness to try something a little different, and get ready to move, flow, and have some fun! Whether you’re a regular or have been thinking about trying yoga for the first time, you’re welcome here.

Acupuncture with Natalie meets Yoga Nidra with Jamie for an hour of deep rest. Let the needles do their work while you do absolutely nothing. Only a few spots left!

Ever notice yourself being drawn to green stones? 🌿
Green is the color of growth, renewal, abundance, and the heart. In crystal traditions, green stones are often associated with emotional healing, fresh beginnings, and finding balance when life feels a little chaotic.

Maybe you’re navigating a season of change. Maybe you’re looking to invite a little more abundance into your life. Or maybe you just can’t resist those gorgeous swirls of malachite. (We get it. 💚)

Whatever the reason, there’s something about a good green stone.

We’re curious—do you choose your stones based on their properties, or do you let yourself be drawn to whatever catches your eye?

✨ Yin Yoga | every Monday at 4:15pm & 6pm | Kodiak Hollow studio

In this slow-paced practice, floor-based postures are held in stillness for five minutes each so we can target the body’s deep connective tissues. Yin offers so many benefits: it improves flexibility, joint mobility, and range of motion; calms the nervous system, helps lower stress and reduces anxiety; and cultivates mindfulness.

Each class is centered around a theme…something you can quietly explore during those long holds. I really love hearing what students connect with in each theme and the little pieces of wisdom they carry with them off the mat. That’s truly part of the magic of Yin!

I know many of you sign up for the whole month at once, so here’s your reminder: it’s time to book your October Yin classes! 😉

Here’s your sign to come hang out with us this week. 🍂 We’ve got a little bit of everything happening—sound, vintage finds, two full days of fall festivals, and plenty of chances to catch us out in the wild.

🌿 Wednesday 10/7 | Sound & Ground • 6pm
Come get cozy for 45 minutes of sound therapy + weighted blankets with Jake. This one is donation-based and deliberately small, so message us to save your space. Your nervous system will thank you.

🍁 Saturday 10/10 | PumpkinFest • 9am–4pm
Downtown Waterloo is going all-in on fall with 150+ vendors, activities, food, music and more. We’ll be open during the festivities, AND you can wander down Mill Street and say hi to Jake with our traveling crystal shop at the corner of Mill St and Main!

👖 Saturday 10/10 | Alms House Creative Vintage Trunk Show • 9am–4pm
While you’re wandering PumpkinFest, pop inside Kodiak Hollow too! Alms House Creative is taking over our studio with a specially curated collection of quality vintage clothing + more.

🍂 Sunday 10/11 | Maeystown Oktoberfest • 9am–4pm
We’re packing up the traveling crystal shop again and heading to historic Maeystown for their 45th annual Oktoberfest! More than 50 artisans and dealers will be set up around the Rock Bridge with antiques, folk art, pottery, handmade goods, food and plenty of small-town fall goodness.
