Joshua Tree Jewelry Roland and Georgia Dewhurst founded Joshua Tree Jewelry in 2006. Rockhounds for many years they work together to produce beautiful jewelry from natural stones.

Roland cuts, shapes and polishes the pieces and Georgia wraps them in silver or gold wire. Unlocking the beauty in a stone brings a new thrill every day. I (Roland) am continually inspired by the unique design each piece reveals as it is cut, shaped and polished. Whether it’s a clear agate, picturesque jasper or a ruby nestled in its host rock, every finished stone reveals some of its origin milli

ons of years ago, yet brings contemporary art to its owner. My (Georgia) goal in designing each wire setting is to enhance the message in the stone. Some of the artistic considerations I make for each setting are symmetrical or asymmetrical, silver or gold, bold or subtle and balancing the shape with the stone. I look at each piece as a one of a kind gift from nature that will establish an emotional connection with the wearer. We spent more than 30 years picking up stones from America’s beaches, deserts and mountains. Beautiful Russian Charoite set. We purchased the cuff from a vendor at Palace of the Governors, Santa Fe. Georgia and I created the ring, pendant and earrings.
