The long-awaited ANCA Eastern Region Endowment Fund’s 18th Annual Gala will take place tomorrow, Saturday, October 19, 2024 in Queens, New York at Terrace on the Park. The gala will include a silent auction, cocktail reception, open bar, and an awards ceremony accompanied by a seated dinner. Activist and Armenian community leader Tony Vartanian will be honored with the New York City Community Trailblazer Award at this year’s 18th Annual Armenian National Committee of America Eastern Region (ANCA-ER) Gala on October 19, 2024.

The NYC Community Trailblazer Award was created by the host ANC for this year’s Gala, the ANC of New York. This award was created with the intention of rewarding a supporter of the ANCA Eastern Region who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and initiative in advancing Armenian priorities politically and strengthening their local ANC. This year, the committee found former Chairman of the ANC of New York, Tony Vartanian worthy of this award. Vartanian served the ANC of New York, a volunteer position, for over ten years.

Dr. Ara Caprielian, Ph.D., a dedicated son of the Armenian nation, will be posthumously honored with the Inaugural Everlasting Advocate Award at this year’s Armenian National Committee of America Eastern Region (ANCA-ER) 18th Annual Gala, on October 19, 2024.

Caprielian is remembered as an unwavering patriot, a dignified man and a genuinely humble, forgiving individual. Those qualities, as well as his selfless dedication to his nation, the ANCA and his church, inspired many.
