Years after her husband lost his life while serving our country overseas, a very special client felt ready to give the engagement ring he had given her a new chapter, one that would allow this treasured piece to be worn once again.
At the heart of this project was always the center diamond, the stone he chose, the one he proposed with, and the one that has been part of their story from the very beginning. Our goal was to honor its history while allowing it to become something new: a meaningful right-hand ring created for the woman she is today.
We repurposed the original accent diamonds into a hidden halo, quietly tucked beneath the center stone and visible only from the side — a beautiful reminder that some of the most meaningful parts of our stories are carried close, even when they aren’t always seen.
The substantial Euro shank gave the ring a sense of strength and permanence, while the compass prongs became perhaps our favorite detail of all — a subtle symbol of where this diamond has been, all that it represents, and the journey it will continue to take with her.
What we created was not simply a new setting.
It was a way to honor a great love while gently giving this treasured piece a new place in her life — and a way for something so deeply meaningful to be worn and cherished once again.
