Vulnerable post ahead
Yall...I'm so tired of looking at every single market weekend this year and seeing forecasts for thunderstorms the week of 😮💨 Can we please catch a break? 😭
The Lavaca Berry festival is this weekend, and we have a 77% chance of thunderstorms so far.
Now, it IS Arkansas. The Sunday of Steampunk it was "guaranteed" to rain, and it didn't. Memorial day weekend was supposed to be rained out, and it wasn't. And this past weekend was also supposed to be a rainy one and instead, I am currently sunburned from a very sunny pool day with friends.
But the mental/emotional stress of the possibility of missing out on ANOTHER weekend of income that I am greatly relying on (we're less than 4 months away from wedding day) is starting to take it's toll. Add that to the fact that the economy is hard on everyone right now, and that it's been a rough year for us financially, and it's just getting really really hard to stay positive.
I don't want to just sit and complain. We are very blessed. We're okay, it's just definitely been one of those "it's always something" years. I've been working harder this year than I ever have on this little dream of mine, and it seems like I just keep getting one obstacle after another thrown at me.
I again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of your love and support. It really does mean the world. Running a small business is the most difficult task I have ever taken on, and all of you are the reason I haven't given up on it yet.
Alright, I'm done complaining now. Please pray for me and all the other small businesses this weekend that we have beautiful weather and the chance to show off our hard work ❤️
