Thankful that started her writing club this past year. It’s a funny thing that so many times I say yes to things but then kinda dread having to go. Didn’t used to be like that, not sure if it’s because I’m getting older, the weight of the world, or something else I can’t quite define, but every time I go I feel rejuvenated again. Thankful for the chance to be creative and the amazing stories that I get to hear from others. Thankful for the story wrote last time about the props I brought in. It inspired me to do the same thing back in the real world. My parents had these two shells with their astrological signs that they got on their honeymoon ages ago. It was one of the things I kept of theirs because I thought it was really cool, but at the end of the day they sat on their shelves and then sat on my shelves. So instead I took them to the beach and buried them in the sand so they could have another life together. ❤️

We’ve been together for NYE a looonnnggg time 😊 We’ve partied, we’ve had parties, we’ve biked, we’ve traveled. Last year we were stranded in New Mexico with the worst flu we’ve ever had wishing to be home. This year we stayed home. Made a gingerbread house which we’ve never done before, made party foods for two, had a roaring fire, cozied up with the last two Stranger Things episodes, and enjoyed everyone else’s fireworks and our sparklers. This year has been full of struggles, loss of family, and health issues. But it’s also still been filled with love and fun. It’s definitely not “new year new me” for us, you’ll still be dealing with the same annoying people 😝 but we really spent time these last couple of weeks to refocus and see the big picture. On to a new year with new challenges but most importantly new adventures. ♥️

Been doing Christmas Eve in Fernandina for as long as I can remember. When my dad passed away, it was hard to go back without him, but we still kept it going. When my mom passed a couple of years ago, I suddenly realized after all these years, I had no reason to go back to Fernandina and that was just too sad to deal with. So we made a new tradition, going up there in Christmas Eve and enjoying the beach and the best beachside restaurant, . We actually missed it last year traveling to family and I think it might have jinxed us, because this was a doozy of year all around. Happy to get the tradtition back on track, it always brings us joy 🎄
