A very exciting morning in Ridgway today for market!
We had spotted a toddler bear running across Hwy 50 when we were turning in to town. It ran in to the gas station parking lot. I bet all those fueling up were startled!
When we pulled in to unload, my vendor neighbor told me about this baby still sleeping! The sibling!
It continued to sleep through all of us loading in and setting up. A few times he looked up, but it wasn’t concerned. LOL
Seeing a bear is one thing, seeing a bear p**p in a park is another . 🤣. Poor thing has the runs. The pair have been raiding garbage cans this week.
The Marshall arrived and shoo’d the beautiful baby out of town, just 2 blocks away.
Honestly, it made my whole year! Validated my career and life choices, and I’m still on a high 11 hours later.
These 2 babies are likely displaced from the huge Gold Mtn Fire, right across the Hwy.
My heart hurts for them.
The town and all the vendors care.
