Beautiful rare cut necklace.
I have been hanging on to this for a few years, but I am damaging it by constantly testing it because I am not 💯 percent sure what kind of material it is.

It passes the Amber tests. The only test I have not tried is the salt water! When I’ve tested with that method in the past, it destroyed the String that holds the beads.

I believe the String on this is yellow silk(not positive though!) and I will not ruin it with salt water.

Just an example to show and share that Gold can have green tarnish and heavy oxidation.

Many people are misinformed and constantly saying gold will never turn. The only gold that doesn’t tarnish is pure gold.

So don’t ever overlook a piece that you may think is fake because it has tarnish, or dull looking.
Also some pieces can look like brass!
