That’s the reality. There’s no deep bench of experienced watch assemblers to hire from in the heart of America. If we want a high standard, we have to build it ourselves.

The team spent the day refining their techniques through specialized tools and improved methods at the bench.

Small adjustments in handling, positioning, and process—each one adding pride, professionalism, confidence, and cleaner, more consistent assembly.

This is the difference between getting it done and getting it right.

SELCO AWCI WATCH BUS WEEK: DAY 1

The watch bus is back!

For the fifth year, the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI) mobile classroom is on-site all week, helping our team deepen their watch assembly skills.

Day 1: The Jasons arrive. AWCI instructors Jason Champion and Jason Ziegenbein opened the doors, and we got straight to work.

Our newest assemblers began logging reps at the bench—learning the concepts and finer points of watch assembly through both group and individual instruction.

Members of our sales and customer service teams joined in as well, learning a different side of the business and a deeper understanding of how our watches are made.

Stay tuned all week. This is how we get better every day.
