As part of my research and with support from ARC Accelerator I am currently exploring how crystal growth can become a sustainable, innovative technique for jewellery makers and jewellery companies. Yesterday, I launched a short survey to gather insights that will help me understand what makers and businesses would find most valuable.

To all my jewellery colleagues here on Instagram: could I kindly ask for five minutes of your time to complete it? (Link in bio)
All responses are anonymous unless you choose to leave your details at the end, for me to contact you for a follow on short research interview.

Thank you in advance for your time and support, your input is truly appreciated!

Second day of the .design fair, still time to come and see the pieces in real life and visit until 6PM, and until Saturday.

This piece explored how BRG can transmit light through other material. A translucent height map sits above a BRG layer, mimicking the light play of a brilliant cut. Thicker areas block more light, while thinner ones allow it to pass, creating an optical illusion visible only in darkness, where light sculpts the form beyond its physical boundaries.

The .design fair is officially open! Come and join us today untill 6PM, or any day until Saturday!

We were able to have a long show (many days and extensive opening hours) thanks to the wonderful support of the .space and team
(Nina, Eveline, Susanne, Andi) and my co-exhibitors, who kindly and diligently invigilated the show when I wasn’t able to be there too. It was not only a pleasure to coexhibit, it was wonderful to collaborate.

Here you can see the work of
“My work explores both impermanence and change by
giving old wine, champagne and beer glasses a new purpose. Tin is not only the basis of the rings, but also enables me to create organic forms such as fire, air and water, which are intended to capture the power of the elements. Each piece tells a story of transformation,
decay and rebirth in an unexpected, wearable form.”

Positioned right underneath a visualisation of a diffraction pattern I created for my PhD was the work by starting artist .

“Inspired by the legendary treasure „Rheingold“ my jewellery reflects on the demystification of nature by the industrialisation. The human focus on growth and greed is deforming our world into a seemingly controlled, rational place with no space for the untamed. Taking a step back, the river Rhein itself is co-creator through sound, water and material, helping me to create pieces that look more emerged than made.”
