Check out the amazing pearl!

The Sleeping Lion, weighing 4.2 ounces and measuring 2.7 inches, is said to be the world’s largest freshwater natural pearl. It was reportedly found around 1765 in Chinese waters. The accountant general of the Dutch East Indies Company acquired it for 4,500 British pounds, and the pearl was named the Sleeping Lion after its unusual appearance.

After the accountant general's death in 1778, it was sold to royalty but vanished decades later. It eventually resurfaced and was acquired by the Amsterdam Pearl Society in 1979, although they did not discover its royal pedigree until 2009. It was eventually put up for auction in 2018 and sold for US$374,000!
