Overcoming the years I’ve been stuck in addiction has been one of the hardest battles of my life, but it has also been the most freeing. For so long, I felt chained to my past mistakes, weighed down by guilt, shame, and hopelessness. But through perseverance, faith, and the decision to fight for myself and my family, I’ve learned that my addiction does not define me—it only shaped the strength I now carry. Every day I choose recovery is a victory, a reminder that no matter how many years were lost, I still have today and the future ahead of me to build something beautiful. My story is no longer about being stuck, but about breaking free.
