In lieu of flowers, friends of the family have set up a go fund account to help Brian's wife with funeral and living expenses as Brian was the primary provider for his family. Information on the go fund account will be posted within the next day or so. Thank you all for your support and kind words. They have meant so much to his wife and children.

Due to the many, many lives that Brian has touched we have decided to do two memorial services. The first service will be held right here in Traverse City at Reynolds-Johnkoff funeral home on Saturday February 21st from 8:00am to noon. We are urging people to attend and share their fond memories of Brian. Per Brian's wishes he is being cremated. The second memorial service will be held in Brian's home town of Oscoda, MI. That memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 28th. We would like to thank everyone for their outpour of support at this sad, sad time in our lives. Brian touched many lives and we will truly miss him!

It is with heavy hearts that The Hobart family is informing you all of the loss of our owner and jewelry, Brian Hobart. He passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning at home with his wife by his side. Brian made the store what it is and we cannot continue without him. The doors of the store have been locked and sadly we will not be re-opening at this time. We are doing our best to contact customers that had consignment or repairs at the store so arrangements can be made to come pick those up. We miss Brian with all our hearts. He was a great husband, father, friend, and businessman. He was loved by all and will not be forgotten!
