We are thrilled to announce that Dennis Johnson has been named Tigard’s First Citizen for 2026!

Dennis exemplifies what it means to be a true community leader. Through his business, Center Street Gold & Silver, he has built a reputation rooted in trust, fairness and exceptional service. But, Dennis' impact goes far beyond his storefront, he is someone who consistently shows up for our community.

Dennis has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to building meaningful relationships and strengthening the Tigard community. He is often among the first to give back to local nonprofits, generously contributing his time, resources, and support. Whenever there is a worthy cause, Dennis shows up ready to help. For example, Center Street Gold & Silver frequently hosts backpack drives and matches customer donations to maximize their impact. Though he rarely seeks recognition, Dennis has quietly supported numerous Tigard organizations for years, making a lasting difference through his ongoing generosity.

This recognition as First Citizen is a reflection of the many ways Dennis has invested his time, energy and passion into making a difference here in Tigard. His leadership and generosity set an example for all of us, and we are grateful for the positive impact he continues to have.

Until May 28th Center Street will be matching funds until Leadership Tigard has reached it's $6000 goal. Also, customers can who bring in any donation with receive a discount on any purchase of Gold or Silver by $5 or $0.10 per ounce respectfully.

Good Neighbor Center is one of the numerous non-profit Center Street Gold and the of Commerce support! My personal believe is if you want to help end homelessness, support organizations which can help whole families get help. Please watch video and discern.

We have started our back to school drive for the Good Neighbor Center (GNC) We are a drop-off site for donations. For Center Street Gold and Silver customers here is an offer to you. Bring in school supplies and until we fill 50 backpacks and raise $3000 in cash we will match cash donations and offer a silver $0.20 per ozt discount and $5 off per ozt on any gold or platinum purchased from us. The Good Neighbor Center provides housing for at risk families. Advance thanks to the following Chamber of Commerce members who have made monetary and supply commitments to this drive. Thursday Center Street had the pleasure to host the Tigard Chamber of Commerce weekly "Good Morning Tigard" event. This has been a great venue for entrepreneurs large and small in the local area to learn about other businesses and to bring awareness to their business or service.

We are pleased to announce we reached our goal of contributing more than $5000 in value to the With Love organization, helping foster kids from age 0 to 6 have a merry Christmas. In actual cash donations we raised $3200 and well over $2000 in toys and clothing. A big thanks to all our clients and friends and family, who contributed or have kept this segment of the population in their prayers God bless.

December 8th ends the local With Love organization "Season of Giving" to help With Love Oregon put a smile on the face of Foster kids 0-6 for this Christmas.

We are hosting a drop off box at our store.

If you bring a new Christmas gift with receipt, or cash, we are matching all donations until we reach our $5000 goal. Raised $2500 so far!

Also, we are donating funds for every ounce of gold or silver
we sell until December 8th. God Bless!
