Hola I’m Jenny Melissa— owner, designer, metalsmith, professional chaos coordinator 😂 & the person behind Pure Life Jewelry.
I’ve been making jewelry since I was 8 years old but officially started this journey back in 2013 after falling in love with metalsmithing and realizing I could actually turn creativity into a career. What started as making pieces in my laundry room studio somehow grew into a full studio in Tempe, traveling for events, teaching workshops, and getting to connect with so many incredible people through jewelry.
For a long time, I genuinely didn’t think art could be a “real” job. I thought creativity was something you did on the side — not something that could support your life. It’s honestly wild to look back now and realize this little dream became my full reality.
A lot of my inspiration comes from life, travel, textures, nature, and especially the ocean. I’m Costa Rican & bilingual, and the name Pure Life actually comes from the Costa Rican saying “Pura Vida” — which means pure life / living life to the fullest! That mindset has shaped so much of not only my business, but my life.
Some random little things about me:

🐾 huge animal lover (turtles and sloths are my favorite besides doggos of course)
✨ I am a little scatter brained at times
🔨 I’m usually covered in polishing dust
✈️ I love to travel I will always make that a priority!
🌊 happiest near the ocean
🤍 I love creating pieces that actually mean something to people
