Miners Rock Shop is an immersive, hands-on experience where visitors can explore the beauty of nature, learn how gems are made, and take home a piece of the Southwest.

It is with sad hearts and deep gratitude for all that he has done that we announce the passing of our father, shop creator and owner, Sam Baar (senior). He was the first person working in the shop when it opened during the pandemic and his love for creating centers to visit, commune and learn about the past and the earth is one of the main reasons he started this shop. He helped create not just this shop but the Natural History Museum in Mesa.
He is the reason that Miners Rock Shop exists today. His energy and love of learning, exploration and education will carry on in the desert that he adored and through the wonderful experiences here in the shop.
He is already missed.

This week we are adding to the inventory some beautiful, blue minerals from Peru which include Peruvian Opal, Opalina, Chrysocolla and Dumortierite. All are in the rough which is exciting for those who like to cut stones and for those who use stones metaphysically.

Rare mineral alert!!!!!
This beautiful lemon-yellow Brucite is now available in the shop! Brucite comes in many colors but this lemon- yellow is a rarity and is from Pakistan.
Metaphysically, it has many uses but one of its most wonderful is the use for " lost" souls to find their life path.
It is a bright, refreshing and happy color of mineral to see on the shelves! You can't help but smile when you see it. 💛💛💛💛💛
