Inspiration is everywhere! Marcel was inspired by the Wiener Werkstatte to design this peridot cabochon and green diamond pendant, in sterling silver. The Wiener Werkstatte was an artisans cooperative that was founded in Vienna in 1903. It brought together designers and makers of “utilitarian “ objects, including leather goods, ceramics, jewelry, paper goods and even architecture. Marcel considered different arrangements for the peridot cabochons, which have high, smoothly domed tops.
Emilie Floge, a couturier who co-owned the Schwestern Floge fashion salon, in one of her designs. Emilie was the muse and partner of Austrian painter Gustav Klimt.
