Most of you know me for my leather work, my earrings, or all my witchy creations… but I don’t think most of you know the very first thing I ever started making:

**Malas.**

A mala is a traditional strand of prayer beads. Monks believe you must overcome **108 human passions** to reach nirvana — and because of that, a traditional mala contains **108 stones**.

Each stone carries intention and meaning. Some represent the heart chakra. Some are chosen for sobriety, strength in hard times, easing anxiety, grounding, protection, or deepening meditation. Every mala is created with purpose.

The ones pictured here are some of the newest I’ve just finished. I have others as well — but just like my leather and everything else I create, these are **one-of-a-kind pieces**. No two are ever the same.

And just like everything I make, they are crafted with care.
All of my malas are **double-strung and hand-knotted** — I don’t use machines. Strength, durability, and intention matter to me. If I’m going to create something meant to carry energy and meaning, it deserves that level of attention.

Making a mala takes more than time. It takes intention. I truly believe you put into things what you give of yourself — your energy, your mindset, your heart. I have to be in the right headspace and emotionally grounded to create one. It’s not something I rush.

Stones hold energy — good, heavy, healing, grounding. So when I sit down to string 108 beads, I’m mindful of what I’m pouring into it.

This is where it all started for me.
And honestly… it still feels sacred every time I make one ✨

By no means am I a carpenter 😅 and I definitely didn’t have plans for this… I just kind of winged it.

When you’re looking for a storage or organization solution and you can’t quite find what you need — or what’s out there is way too expensive — what do you do?

You figure it out and build your own system.

This rack is on wheels and made out of some pretty unconventional material (yep… technically something you’d normally put on a wall). The bins inside are 5-gallon buckets. I couldn’t stand the yellow lids, so of course I spray-painted them. The smaller one up top is just a 6.5-quart.

Is it perfect? Nope.
Is it functional? Absolutely.
Does it make my workspace more organized? 100%.

No, I’m not selling it.
No, I don’t have plans.
It was just something I came up with to keep myself a little more sane and organized.

✨ **New Item in Testing — Magnetic Hikes!** ✨

Skirt, blouse, pants, cloak… these **new magnetic hikes** are designed to give you an easy way to secure your garb without belts, knots, or fuss.

Right now, they’re officially in the **testing phase** 👀
I’ve enlisted **two brave test people** to put them through real-world wear and see how they perform out in the wild.

My hope is that they’ll give **honest feedback** — what works, what doesn’t, and what I can do to **enhance the design or make it even better** before full release.

This is how new pieces come to life at *A Little Twisted* — try it, test it, tweak it, repeat.
