“Oh, the places you’ll go…”

The Organic Pebble Ring is officially making its way to Australia! 🇦🇺

There’s something pretty amazing about creating a piece of jewelry here in my little studio in Massachusetts and knowing that soon it will be worn by someone on the other side of the world.

I never quite know where the pieces I make will end up, and that’s one of the things I love most about this work.

Safe travels, little ring. You’re going a long way. ✈️

I know the stores are already telling us fall is here. Sweaters are showing up, pumpkins aren’t far behind, and somehow we’re supposed to be thinking about September.

But with these gorgeous warm August days, I’m holding onto summer just a little bit longer.

The Stillwater Necklace feels like summer to me.

I found the vintage glass beads in an antique store and was immediately drawn to their soft, watery blue-green color. They reminded me of clear ocean water on one of those warm summer days when everything seems to slow down a little.

I brought them home without really knowing what I was going to do with them—which happens more often than you might think. Eventually, I paired three of the vintage beads with sterling silver forms that I made individually by hand. I love the contrast between the smooth, timeworn glass and the texture of the newly made silver.

Maybe it’s the color. Maybe it’s knowing those glass beads already had a life before they found their way to my workbench. But the finished necklace has that relaxed, end-of-summer feeling that I’m definitely not ready to give up yet.

Fun fact: Long before there was KFinn Designs, there was The Finn Pendant.

I originally made this necklace as a holiday gift for a small group of close friends. I never intended it to become part of a jewelry collection, but somehow they all started calling it “The Finn.”

The name stuck.

Years later, it’s still one of my favorite designs. I love its clean, sculptural lines and the way the two textured silver elements move independently, connected by simple interlocking rings. It’s understated, easy to wear, and somehow works with just about everything.

Sometimes the designs that mean the most aren’t the ones you spend months planning. They’re the ones that grow into something special over time.

I’ve always been drawn to jewelry with depth.

Not because it’s big or bold, but because the closer you look, the more there is to discover.

The Small Round Layered Pendants were designed with that idea in mind. Each one is handcrafted in sterling silver, with textured concentric layers surrounding a natural gemstone at its center.

To me, those layers are a reminder that our lives are built gradually. Through experiences, relationships, unexpected detours, and small everyday moments that shape us over time.

Rarely by one defining event.

More often, one layer at a time.

Which one would you choose?

(Pssst… my personal favorite is that green tourmaline, but that’s just me!) 💚

Some pieces are designed to be admired.

This one practically begs to be touched.

The Finn Spin Ring has a textured center barrel that spins freely between two oxidized silver beads. Without fail, when someone picks it up at a show, the first thing they do is give it a spin.

I think that’s part of what I love about it. It’s interactive. It invites you to engage with it rather than simply wear it.

Like all of my jewelry, it’s handcrafted from sterling silver with plenty of texture and character. The spinning center adds an unexpected detail that’s as satisfying as it is beautiful.

Whether you find yourself absentmindedly giving it a spin during a meeting or simply appreciate thoughtful craftsmanship, it’s one of those pieces that always starts a conversation.

What about you? Are you someone who likes jewelry with an unexpected detail?

When I first started metalsmithing, I had no idea which designs would stand the test of time.

The Forged Link Bracelet was one of the very first pieces I created, and years later, it’s still one of the pieces I wear most every day.

As a jewelry maker, that’s saying something. I’m constantly making new work, yet this bracelet is the one I keep reaching for.

I think it’s because it reflects so much of what I love about jewelry… thoughtful craftsmanship, texture, and designs that feel timeless rather than trendy. Each link is individually hand forged and joined with visible rivets, giving it character that’s meant to become even more beautiful with wear.

Over the years, it’s become something of a signature piece for me. Friends and returning customers often notice when I’m not wearing it.

It’s funny how certain pieces quietly become part of who we are.

Do you have a piece of jewelry that’s become your signature, the one you instinctively reach for day after day? I’d love to hear about it.

I’ve always been fascinated by the objects that survive history.

When archaeologists uncover a piece of jewelry that’s hundreds or even thousands of years old, I can’t help but wonder who made it...who wore it...and what stories it witnessed along the way.

Those pieces weren’t created to become museum artifacts.

They were someone’s favorite necklace.

The Modern Relic Pendants grew out of that fascination.

Rather than recreating ancient jewelry, I wanted to capture its spirit. Hand-textured sterling silver, luminous gemstones, and details that feel as though they belong to another time, reimagined for today.

I love the idea that the jewelry we wear every day becomes part of our own story. It celebrates milestones, accompanies adventures, and quietly marks the seasons of our lives.

Maybe one day, generations from now, someone will hold a treasured piece of jewelry and wonder about the woman who wore it before them.

Today’s jewelry is tomorrow’s history.....

I think there’s something really beautiful about that.

Some jewelry changes how you feel when you wear it.

When I designed these, I kept coming back to the shape of ancient shields. Not because I wanted to make historical jewelry, but because I loved the idea of carrying a subtle reminder of your own strength out into this crazy world.

The layered sterling silver, the rich texture, the single faceted gemstone at the center...every detail is intentional. Strong, timeless, and beautifully understated.

I decided to rename them The Guardian Earrings because that’s exactly what they remind me of. A little piece of armor for the days you need it. Not to hide behind, but to remind you that you’ve already made it through everything that’s brought you here.

Which gemstone would you choose to wear as your Guardian? 💪

A circle. A half moon. A single stone.

On their own, they’re familiar. But when they’re brought together in just the right way, they become something entirely new.

That’s what I love most about designing jewelry. It’s less about adding more and more details, and more about finding the right balance by letting texture, proportion, and negative space do the work.

The Half Moon Earrings are one of those pieces. Modern without feeling trendy. Distinctive without trying too hard. The kind of earrings you’ll reach for because they just work.

Handcrafted in sterling silver with a faceted gemstone, they’re a reminder that thoughtful design is often found in the simplest forms.

Available in satin finish or lightly oxidized.

Which do you find yourself drawn to more: bold statement pieces or jewelry with a quieter presence?

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to find your way.

For years, life had a rhythm. Raising my kids, building a career, starting a jewelry business...there was always a clear next step.

Now my kids are almost grown, and I’m standing at the beginning of a new chapter.

If I’m honest, it’s both exciting and a little unsettling at the same time.

For the first time in a long time, it feels like there’s space to ask, What’s next?

I don’t have the answer yet…and maybe I don’t need to.

Maybe finding your way isn’t about having every step mapped out. Maybe it’s about being open to a new direction, trusting your instincts, and enjoying the journey of discovering where that path leads.

That became the inspiration for The Wayfinder Pendant.

The compass rose has guided travelers for centuries. To me, it symbolizes something more personal: the courage to keep moving forward, even when the destination isn’t entirely clear.

Sometimes the most meaningful journeys aren’t about arriving somewhere new.

They’re about discovering parts of yourself you hadn’t met yet.

And maybe that’s the greatest gift of a new chapter...getting to meet the person you’re still becoming.

I’m looking forward to meeting her. 😀
