She studied painting and sculpture at Bennington College, and at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. With her background in color and form, designing jewelry came easily to her. Shelley starts with a color idea, adding elements as she proceeds with each design. She aims to find unusual combinations of stones ~ choosing them for both their colors and textures.
