We take pride in wire wrapping and cutting and polishing gemstones and personal mementos. It has been our passion since 1998. We make award winning jewelry fashioned with 14kgf or sterling silver wire.

We make rings, pendants (slides/enhancers/necklaces), neck collars, earrings, bracelets and more. We are very open to suggestions and what you can come up with. We use semiprecious gemstones, fossils, meteorites, sea class, shells, arrow head, along with rocks that you have collection on your vacation or in your travels. We also cut and polish your stone into a cabochon for truly one of a kind piece and one that has special meaning to you. Custom Cut Polished & Wire Wrapped Rhodonite Set Necklace/Pendant Earrings Sterling Silver

What is Rhodonite: This material was given to us by our friend Michael from the Richmond Gem & Mineral Club years ago. From Albemarle (Charlottesville VA) Rhodonite is predominantly known for its striking pink to red colors, often displayed with black manganese oxide veining, giving it a complex and appealing appearance. This mineral is classified as a silicate and belongs to the pyroxenoid family. Composed mainly of manganese, iron, and silicon, its unique composition sets rhodonite apart from other gemstones. Rhodonite primarily consists of manganese silicate, which gives it its distinctive color. The chemical formula for rhodonite is generally represented as MnSiO3. The unique hue of rhodonite can range from soft pink to rich red, often exhibiting black or brown streaks due to the presence of other minerals like iron or magnesium.

This morning got up early so decided to get an early start on on cutting and shopping Gray Hokie Stone for earring Bob had caught up with me. Thank the Lord my fingers healed quickly. Gold Bond is for me!

Custom Wire Wrapped Moonstone Necklace/Pendant Sterling Silver

What is: Moonstone is a variety of the feldspar-group mineral orthoclase. During formation, orthoclase and albite separate into alternating layers. When light falls between these thin layers it is scattered producing the phenomenon called adularescence. Adularescence is the light that appears to billow across a gem. Moonstone is a birthstone for June, along with pearl and alexandrite. United States astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin ("Buzz") Aldrin landed on the moon on July 20, 1969, aboard the Apollo 11 spacecraft. Since this and all other astronaut-controlled spaceflights had been launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Brevard County, the Florida legislature sought to memorialize this "giant step" for humankind. In 1970, lawmakers adopted the moonstone as the official state gem.

Ironically, the moonstone, a form of the mineral feldspar, is not found naturally in Florida... nor was it found on the moon!

What is:Alternative Birthstone for September.

Lapis lazuli stone meaning came from the Latin word Lapis means stone and from the Persian word Lazhward meaning blue. The color meaning of Lapis lazuli was also used in several languages including Spanish and Portuguese Azul. Lapis Lazuli was mined in the Sar-i Sang mines in Shortugai and found in Bhirrana, which is the oldest site of Indus Valley Civilisation dated to 7570 BCE and being valued from that time by the community.
