There are more than 30 vineyards within 30 miles of Stroud. Stableridge Winery is located on Route 66 in an Old Catholic church on the western edge of town. The Grape Junction, located at the junction of Route 66 and Oklahoma Hwy 99, and Territory Cellars Winery and Vineyard, located on Oklahoma Hwy 99 North of Route 66, opened in 2007. The Lake boasts 621 surface acres and offers: boating, fishing, water skiing, overnight camping, swimming at t the sand beach, picnic tables, barbecue grills, pavilions, rest rooms, and RV pads with utilities, Twenty-six campsites with electricity and water and 50 campsites without electricity are available on a first come, first serve basis. “Stroud’s Mid Summer Madness 5K Run” Takes place on the second Saturday in July at - Stroud, OK Great run that takes you through the city park, down hwy 66 then proceeds back to the Rt. 66 Coliseum. $100 prize for 1st place male and female divisions, Bicycle given away in drawing for 12 and under division. “The Mother Road Chili Cook-Off” Takes Place on the last Saturday of October, Enter your best recipe or be a taste-tester at the Mother Road Chili Cook-Off in downtown Stroud. Participants will cook the chili off-site, and bring it to the event to be evaluated by a panel of judges and tasted by the public. Judging will be divided into three divisions: chili with beans, chili without beans and non-traditional chili, which is any chili that is not the traditional red variety. Registration and chili camp setup will be from 10am-12pm, with public tasting and judging from 12-3pm. Trophies and cash prizes for all three categories as well as overall champion, people's choice and best-decorated chili camp will be awarded. Tasting kits for voting for people's choice are available. During the Mother Road Chili Cook-Off, visitors can also enjoy live music throughout the day and admire the vehicles in the motorcycle or car show.
