Baroque pearls are irregular-shaped pearls, but they are typically larger than most. I love their organic shape and was fortunate to find some matching pairs for earrings.

What are the differences in the types of gold that are available? Let's get into it!

I'm back, my lovlies, for another jewelry chat and I will go over what gold plated, gold-filled and gold karats mean.

I don't use a ton of gold plated, because it has the least amount of gold. Though sometimes a little charm are too cute to pass up 😄

I do incorporate gold-filled in some of my fine silver earrings. And this kind is legally required to be 5% gold.

For solid gold, karats tell you the gold content. The higher the number, the more gold. 24 karat is pure gold, but not often used due to how soft it is.

Getting back in the swing of things! Making my signature fine silver earrings in the layered style.

I love doing custom work! But I actually had some challenges with making this solid copper wedding band.

Since I typically work in silver and with a lower guage (that is less thick), I had to adjust my approach on soldering and forming the ring band. However, despite needing to anneal the metal several times while hammering, so that the metal was soft enough to move, I was able to create the ring band.

Then I texturized the outer edge with just my hammer and some elbow grease 💪

I added a comfort fit chamfer on the interior edge of the band so that it's comfortable to wear all the time!

They say life is what happens while you're busy making other plans. Well, breaking my ankle wasn't on my Summer 2026 bingo card, but here we are!

I'm not going to be able to be in the studio for a few days, so the custom jewelry orders in my queue will be delayed. If you're waiting on an order though, please know I'll get back to it as soon as I can!

I appreciate your understanding during this time and will keep my creative fires stoked until I can get back to my bench to take that torch to metal again.

Thanks to the Delmar Loop Flowering Artist Festival for a jazzy time this past Saturday! We had a live band, performers, and all kinds of handmade art.

But no fomo needed, if you couldn't make it... I'll have my fall show schedule out as soon as I hear if I'm accepted into a few more shows.

Also, if you were at the show and a jewelry design is calling your name, I may still have it in stock! Because of the handmade and unique nature of my jewelry, I don't always have time to put every single piece in my online boutique.

Tomorrow is the Delmar Loop Flowering Artist Festival!

Stop by from 1:00-8:00 pm and check out my hand-fabricated sterling silver jewelry. Handmade artists will be along Delmar for a few blocks. And if we all pray the rain away, we'll also have a mural artist painting on one of the buildings!
